Chapter 1 - Chapter -1: Transmigration

This is enough; I can't do this anymore, and wherever I go, I can't forget those memories. This has to end right now.

Akira, a high school student, was diagnosed with severe depression and has chosen to end his life. Akira then jumped from his school building and took his life. Before his death, he wished for one thing: if there were such a thing as a god, I wanted another chance at life.

Void Space:

Akira found himself adrift in an endless expanse of nothingness, an overwhelming void where time and direction held no meaning. The atmosphere was thick with an unsettling silence, and the chill in the air seeped into his very core as he floated aimlessly, grappling with a sense of confusion and isolation. Just when despair began to sink in, an intense beam of light erupted from the darkness, flooding the void with a brilliance so pure and blinding that Akira instinctively shielded his eyes, fearing the light might consume him.

From this radiant glow, a voice resonated, deep and echoing, reverberating through the emptiness. "Akira, what you did was wrong," it intoned, the sound swirling around him like a tangible force. "Your life has been riddled with misfortune, and I am willing to offer you a chance to redeem yourself. But know this—a price must be paid for your transgression, for you have broken a sacred rule."

Before Akira could muster a response, the luminous presence began to fade, its light retreating until the void swallowed it whole once more, leaving him alone in the oppressive silence once again.

When Akira opened his eyes, a scene of utter chaos unfolded before him. Shadows of violence danced in the flickering light; people screamed in terror as they were stabbed, while others ransacked homes, desperately clutching whatever belongings they could find. The air was thick with the acrid scent of panic and despair. Just as Akira tried to comprehend his surroundings, an overwhelming sensation enveloped him—his entire being felt as if it were being lifted effortlessly, like delicate feathers caught in a gentle breeze. In that surreal moment, Akira realized with startling clarity that he had been reincarnated as a baby.

Curiosity drew his gaze upward, and he met the eyes of a striking young woman who cradled him tenderly. Her features were softened by fear and determination as she wrapped him in a warm blanket, her breaths rapid and frantic as she sprinted away from the unfolding nightmare. She ran with a fierce resolve, her heart pounding like a drum, until her strength began to falter. Finally, gasping for air, she paused and drew the blanket aside. Tears glistened in her eyes as she leaned down, placing a gentle kiss on his forehead, her voice a hushed whisper filled with heart-wrenching emotion as she bid him a tearful goodbye. With one last longing look, she covered him once more, securing him within the safety of the blanket, and then turned to flee in the opposite direction.

Akira considered crying out, but the echo of heavy footsteps drew nearer, the ominous sound slicing through the air, remnants of the chaos they had just escaped.
