Chapter 66 - Chapter 65: A Luna's Rise: A Call to War

Surrounded by maps, battle plans, and the eager eyes of the pack's best fighters and allies, Leah stood in the magnificent war chamber of Barduff Castle. She did not falter despite the high level of tension in the room. She had to demonstrate that she was their Luna and not just Jacob's mate at this point.

They could not afford to sit back and watch Edmund Boris gather rogue forces. Leah had been researching maps, terrain vulnerabilities, and possible alliance opportunities for the past few days. The time had come for her to implement her plan.

With an air of authority that dispelled any doubts, Leah stated resolutely, "We cannot wait for Edmund to bring the fight to us." Before he does, we must seize control of the battlefield. We attack first.

As she gestured toward the northern border, Jacob stood next to her and observed. This pass is being traversed by the rogues. Since the gorge is narrow, we can take advantage of it. If we funnel them into this area, we can cut them off."

Samuel Ordolf, the Beta and her brother, nodded in approval. "A sound strategy. We could position our best archers along the ridges, preventing their escape."

Leah looked up at him, appreciating his help. "Exactly. We also require allies. She looked around at the assembled warriors. Marcus Irving values strength, but the White Dawn Pack has been reluctant to support us. We might capture his forces if I go up to him as Luna.

There was a murmur in the room. When Marcus was brought up, Jacob's jaw tensed, but he remained silent. He was aware that personal grievances were not appropriate at this time.

She went on, "We owe the Shadow Fang warriors a favor for helping them fight the mountain rogues last spring." "I'm going to request that favor."

Gregor, one of the older fighters, folded his arms. "These are ambitious plans, Luna. Will they, however, follow you? Some people continue to doubt your authority.

Leah stood up. Let them ask questions after that. I will demonstrate my worth through deeds rather than words.

With an air of finality in his voice, Jacob took a step forward. "Our Luna is Leah. I'm open to direct challenge from anyone who questions that.

The room was silent. Nobody came forward.

Leah and Jacob exchanged a silent look as they locked eyes. He did this to show the pack that he stood by her side and to support her.

Samuel smirked. After that, it's resolved. We proceed with Leah's plan.

Leah let out a breath and steadied herself as the fighters and strategists started to form up. She had shown that she was more than just the Omega-turned-Luna by taking a daring step forward. She was a fighter, a leader, and a woman who would not be ignored.

And with war on the horizon, she would prove to everyone that she was a formidable opponent.
