Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Stream Never Sleeps

Location: Bellevue Hospital – New York City

Viewers: 10,238

Camera Angle: Ceiling Fan Rotation (Slow Zoom-In)

The stream opened to a dimly lit hospital room. Fluorescent lights buzzed overhead. A monitor beeped steadily. A cheap TV in the corner played reruns of Jeopardy! on mute. And in the bed, wrapped in three layers of gauze, IV in his arm, foot in a sling, lay Danny Garcia.

"Yo," he croaked. "I'm alive."

The chat exploded.

[dev__dawg]: AYEEEEE CAMERAMAN SURVIVED!!

[hellaspiderfan]: W CAMERAMAN. HE BUILT FR

[mod_senpai]: this man's got more plot armor than Deadpool

[justlurking]: not me watching this while eating cereal like it's a show

Danny rubbed his eyes. His afro was slightly crushed on one side. The hospital gown was half-open at the back — disrespectfully drafty — and his right arm was in a sling.

"Man… what the fuck was that?" he mumbled. "I thought I was just gonna vibe in Times Square, maybe catch a street performance, eat a hot dog… instead I got front row seats to Godzilla vs. King Kong."

He reached for the water cup beside his bed. Missed. Tried again.

"Bro, I got yeeted across a taxi cab. I'm not even an Avenger. I'm just a bystander with Wi-Fi."

[spid3rwifey]: facts. but your hair still cute

[mrmigagi]: drink water king stay hydrated

[mod_senpai]: best stream I've seen all year, no cap

Danny chuckled, sipping slowly. Then turned his gaze upward, looking right at the "camera."

"You know what's crazy?" he said, scratching his jaw. "I never hit 'go live.' Never clicked a button. Y'all just… here. Watching. Constantly. I can't turn this shit off."

He leaned back.

"I'm streaming from the Marvel Universe. Live. 24/7. And I can't even pause to wipe my ass in peace."

Camera Angle: Third-Person Chill Mode (Medium Distance)

Later that day, after some suspiciously fast recovery (he chalked it up to "plot convenience"), Marlon was back on the streets.

Well, limping, really.

He had on a thrifted hoodie, some hospital-provided crutches, and one very dented pair of white Air Forces that had definitely seen better universes. But the man was moving. Alive. Conscious. And most importantly — still streaming.

"Alright, chat," he said, tapping the side of his head like it was a Bluetooth headset. "Let's check this world out, huh? You wanna see what Marvel looks like from the ground floor? Not superhero penthouses. Just… vibes."

He turned onto a street corner, panning the camera to show the bustling New York energy — food trucks, office workers, an old lady arguing with a delivery drone. The usual.

[hellaspiderfan]: it's so NORMAL. tf

[dev__dawg]: bro this better than Disney+

[nigerianprince]: slide to Wakanda next??

"Y'all wild," Marlon laughed. "You think I can just fast travel to Wakanda like it's GTA? I'm still broke out here."

He stopped in front of a bodega.

Inside, he bought a bacon egg and cheese and a grape soda. The cashier side-eyed him like he was a shoplifter, but handed over the sandwich anyway.

"Appreciate it, man," Marlon said, throwing the man a salute.

Back outside, he sat on the curb, eating in front of the stream like it was a mukbang.

And then it happened.

A girl walking by did a double-take. Stared.

"Yo… you that guy. The… 'Never Dies' dude, right? You were at the Hulk thing?"

Danny blinked.

"…I mean, technically, yeah. But I ain't throw no punches. I was mostly just running for my life and screaming."

She laughed. "Still cool, though. My cousin showed me the stream. You're like… famous. Kinda."

Then she walked off like it was nothing.

[spid3rwifey]: AYO DANNY GOT FANS IRL

[mymonclerfur]: she lowkey wanted you

[berlinlebt]: W RIZZ CAMERAMAN

Danny wiped his mouth and stared into the "camera." "This is getting out of pocket…"

Camera Angle: Bathroom Corner (Steam Mode Activated)

Later that night, in a motel bathroom, Danny faced the ugliest truth of his new reality.

He couldn't shut the stream off.

No button. No menu. No "Are You Sure You Want To End Stream?" popup.

So he did what he could — he propped the stream view away from the shower. The camera floated obediently near the sink, staring at the cracked mirror and fogged-up tiles.

"Y'all better not say nothing weird," Danny shouted through the shower curtain. "This my private time. My vulnerable arc. Respect it."

[justlurking]: cam angle lookin like a horror movie rn

[hellaspiderfan]: i'm respecting. but also why your soap on the floor

[mod_senpai]: cameraman still working overtime damn

[utdrashford] : mans dedication is unreal

Camera Angle: Vlogger Mode (Walking POV)

Date: Unknown

Location: Marvel Manhattan – East Side

Two weeks later.

Danny had upgraded. Barely.

He still didn't know the exact timeline — no newspaper had a "Tony Stark Captured in Afghanistan" headline yet — but he'd figured out enough.

He was pre-Iron Man. Probably post-Captain America being frozen. No Ultron. No blip. The world was normal. Or, Marvel-normal.

And now? He was casually walking through Central Park with a hot pretzel in one hand, the chat in his head, and a mild existential crisis.

"Y'all ever think about how I'm just… here?" he said. "Like, no powers. No suit. Just me and this cosmic Twitch stream."

[dev__dawg]: you're the cameraman bro. the GOAT.

[aussie1naruto]: you kinda like the Watcher but broke

[hellaspiderfan]: this the best slice of Marvel I've seen tbh

People on Earth were watching him. Not Tony. Not Peter. Him. Danny. In his beat-up sneakers and thrift fits, limping through one of the most dangerous universes ever created — one corny joke and near-death experience at a time.

And weirdly?

It felt right.

Scene Break: A Random Subway Platform – Late Night

He was sitting on a subway bench, scrolling through a Marvel Universe newspaper like he could understand anything.

He sighed.

"Yo," he said, "I know this stream started with chaos, but I'mma keep it a buck — this ain't even about surviving anymore. It's about living."

He looked up at the camera.

"Even if the camera's always on."

Then the train doors opened.

And standing on the far side of the platform — briefly, just for a moment — was a man in sunglasses and a long brown coat.

He nodded at Danny.

He blinked.

When he looked again, the man was gone.

[mod_senpai]: ayo who that??

[spid3rwifey]: WAIT I SAW THAT TOO WTF

[justlurking]: replay pls replay pls

[hellaspiderfan]: he looked like Fury?? or am I tweaking?

Danny stood up slowly.

"…Y'all saw that, right?"
