A guy out there living his life with regular, intentional problems with unrealistic demands of his parents. He has insomnia which is caused by a major accident in past. Though his life is full of bitterness there is one sweetness that comes in his life unexpectedly.
In a highschool hallway
Jay - Hey done with changing?
Nikki - Almost
Jay - (Singh) How much time?
Nikki - 2 minutes
Jay - Fine
Nikki didn't even bother combing his hair properly. He knew there is nothing which is gonna look normal about him. The pale face with puffy eyes, body drained from energy. Everything about him has abnormality. That's what he thought.
In colidoors
Jay - So ... how the therapy going?
Nikki - I ... have.. I have cancelled it.
Jay - Dude! What?Why?
Nikki - Expensive, not working and time.
Jay - Lame excuses
Nikki - My mom dad don't bother for my problem and I am too afraid to ask. My full poket money, last two months salary from part time job and my little savings all was spend in just three sessions.
Jay - I understand but is there any way to help this problem except from therapy.
Nikki - I have tried everything. It just gets more tiring.
Jay - I guess but you know you look like a mess.
Nikki - Don't bother
Jay - Atleast for appearance, how about trying make up?
Nikki - Consult for a cosmetologist, nah thank you.
Jay - Let's just go
In PE class
Nikki was huffing badly after ten rounds of the football ground. Jay said worriedly " Told you not to. Want me to escort you to nurse room?" " I feel like puking." " Than let's go to lavatory first." They were on their way to the lavatory when their PE sir stopped them rigourously. " You are called at principal's office." Jay carefully held Nikki on place and replied instead. " Can it wait?" " You think so?" " You'll be ok right." A worried friend always on time. " Just take me to principal's office."
In principal's office
"May I come in sir." " You do, please come."
Principal - So how are you?
Nikki - Good
Principal observed him sensefullyas if he knew something was wrong but he don't want to admit it and by he it means principal.
Principal - You look so lethargic
Nikki - Lack of sleep, just normal teenage problem.
Principal - (Checking him out) Perhaps are you getting bullied?
Nikki - W- What sir I-
Principal - Kim nam-su
Nikki - .....It's a bit complicated.
Principal - Even if you are getting bullied. Keep your mouth shut.
Nikki - Sir I didn't said anything on the first place.
Principal - Someone made a video of you getting canned by him. That video just reached to me so there is no publicity. Do you even know what will happen if that video gets viral? The school's reputation, students life and most importantly you'll be in huge trouble.
Nikki - That's not the most important thing right? You are just worried for yourself.
Principal - (Pissed) You better be in limits. Go
Nikki - (bowed)
In cafeteria
Jay - So what was the conversation about?
Nikki - Nothing so serious.
Jay - Bullies
Nikki - You quite know me well.
Jay - 'Easy going ' or ' I don't give a shit ' or 'Just bear with it ' .
Nikki - We need to head to class ( Expeditiously getting away)
Jay - Stop disregarding the question. It'll keep you restless.
Nikki - As if, well anything but it's better to send a Coventry. ( Rushing off)
Jay - ..... Am I that inadequate?
In Nikki's house
Nikki's pov
Mom(Mrs Lee) - Why can't you go?
Nikki - I am quite tired.
Dad(Mr Lee) - Tired of what, marathon? You are so insignificant, useless and incapable for doing that. Just be a man and go.
It's nothing really I can do about this. I don't know what name I should give to this atmosphere stereotypical, partial or cruel. It always have a machinery effect ' Just do what you are told. ' 'No feelings, emotion, choice just nothing. ' It was not that of a bother atleast not until two years ago.
Mrs Lee - Are you going or do you want me to take all your pocket money, cancel the later ones and don't let you go to evening sunday travel huh?
Nikki - I'll go
Mrs Lee - Good choice
Ever heard of operant conditioning by B.F. Skinner, a learning process where voluntary behaviours are shaped by their consequences. Reinforcement like rewards increases the likelihood of a behaviour, while punishment like unpleasant stimuli decreases it. Essentially, individuals learn to repeat behaviours that lead to positive outcomes and avoid those that lead to negative outcomes.
Though this method is never used by my parents. Anyways.
Nikki's pov end
Nikki is on the way to diliver a parcel in a far outskirt area of the city. It's 8 in night but still man are said to be strong. His parents just ignore the safety of their own son.
In metro station
Nikki - Metros are so emty like a hospital ward, why?, because I was going a long way.
Nikki was on the way to Mrs Lim's house when he heard a foot slippery sound.
??? - Never knew I'll see you here.
Nikki was terrified would be an understatement. He was more than just feeling swallowed by horrificness , he was more than just feeling stabed by someone brutally. Why not he'll feel this because out of so many people he met his bully, his obstacle Kim Nam-su . He held the parcel tightly because more than worrying for himself he was worried for this stupid box.
Nam-su - You wanted to burst me out of you were just hungry for justice.
Nikki - I didn't do anything. The video was-
Before he could speak further he was already lying on the ground because of the hard punch from his bully.
Nam- su - Video? I see you got some nerves huh. How about I try this ( showing a hair straightener). I will give you that pain that you'll never get the courage to stand up again let alone speak for yourself.
Jin- soo - Why don't we begin the show?
Nam-su - Ofcourse. So buddy, your task is to entertain us by taking off your clothes COMPLETELY, dance and if you miss the beat you'll be burned. Ofcourse I want to remember this moment forever so I'll capture it. So any doubts, let's begin than.
Nikki - Listen I-I please no,I'll do every-
Nam-su - Just go help him strip, anyone of you.
One boy - Come on beauty give us a good strip show. (Moving closer)
Nikki - (Backing away)
Just when he was almost getting into his prey's hands someone stopped the crime. That someone is in black hoodie, black mask and blue oceanic eyes. That person was covered to maybe hide Identity.
??? - Police is on the way.
One boy - What?
??? - (Pointing to the backside) Behind you.
And when everyone turned to get a glimpse the victim with saviour got vanished.
Nam-su - The intruppter you'll be drowning.
They both were running as people will run in zombie apocalypse. They ran until they were safe.
??? - You fine
Nikki - Yes , thanks
??? - Not to mention, see you
