The world you're entering isn't like Earth. It's called Medyline—strange, dangerous, and powerful. People live for centuries, powers are real, and nothing is safe.

The main character, Anthom, has had a rough life, but now, he's ready to fight back.

Welcome to Medyline.

Medyline is ancient, but not in a boring way. Its technology blends the old and the futuristic in ways you wouldn't expect.

People here don't age like Earthlings. Adulthood starts at 200 years. Time moves 10 times faster here than on Earth—1 Earth year equals 10 Medyline years.

Here's how this world works:

The Awakening

One day, the sky rained blood—changing everything it touched.

Machines thought for themselves. Plants grew teeth. The dead came back. Some people gained powers. Others lost their minds, turning into monsters called Wyrnhed.

The Blood Cage

Before the Awakening, there was a secret prison underground, filled with people the rulers didn't want around.

When the world changed, the prisoners escaped, but one stayed behind—Anthom, the forgotten boy who never gave up.

Powers (Gifts)

In Medyline, powers aren't trained for—they're chosen by who you are deep inside. Your past, emotions, desires, and regrets shape your Gift.

The Rulers – The Als

These rulers are like gods—mysterious and terrifying. They've watched over Medyline for centuries, and no one knows what they really want.

Currency – Zehn

Money here is called Zehn (Z).

1 Z = street food

10 Z = a week's living

100 Z = bribe someone

1,000 Z = rent a weapon

10,000 Z = rent someone's life

Living in Medyline

Cities are layered:

Top: Safe, powerful, rich.

Middle: Loud, crowded, normal.

Bottom: Dangerous, dark, dirty.

Creatures and new threats appear daily. It's a dangerous world, but somehow, it's home.

Power Types (Gifts)

Elemental Gifts: Powers tied to nature (fire, water, earth, air).

Psychic Gifts: Mental powers like telekinesis, mind control, illusions, and telepathy.

Life Gifts: Powers linked to life and death—healing, necromancy, vitality.

Spirit Gifts: Powers of the soul—soulbinding, spectral summoning, astral projection.

Mutation Gifts: Chaotic, monstrous powers—shapeshifting, corruption, demonic transformation.

Fractured Memory: Manipulate timelines and change the past or future.

Soul Threading: Connect souls, sharing pain, power, or life force.

Memory Embers: Manipulate memories—steal, erase, or create false ones.

Shadow Craft: Control shadows—create constructs, travel through shadows, and trap enemies.

Bloodsong: Manipulate sound and vibrations—attack, heal, or create illusions.

Eclipsing: Bend light and shadow to create confusing, reality-warping spaces.

Reality Weaving: Temporarily alter reality—change physics, events, or memories.

Transmutation: Transform matter and living beings into other substances.

Dreamwalking: Enter and manipulate dreams—bring dream elements into the real world.

Fatebinding: Tie lives together—share fates, protect, or sacrifice.

The Creatures of Medyline

Wyrnhed (The Twisted Beasts)Wyrnhed are the mindless, monstrous creatures that were born from the chaos of the Awakening. These creatures are massive, deformed, and driven solely by rage. They were once normal beings or animals, but the Awakening twisted them into horrific forms. They now roam the land, seeking destruction and chaos.

Physical Traits:

Huge and Deformed: Wyrnhed are terrifyingly large, often towering over other creatures. Their bodies are twisted and misshapen, with limbs that may be too long or short, or heads that seem out of proportion.

Rage-Fueled Appearance: Their eyes burn with a fiery, red glow, and their bodies are covered in jagged spikes, torn skin, or scars that reflect their constant battle with the world around them.

Abilities:

Rage Induced Strength: Wyrnhed are incredibly strong due to their unrelenting rage. Their strength allows them to crush or tear apart anything in their path.

Regeneration: Due to their twisted nature, they can quickly regenerate wounds, making them harder to kill.

Unpredictable Attacks: Because of their lack of intelligence, Wyrnhed attack in random, wild patterns, making them difficult to predict in battle.

Weakness:

Lack of Intelligence: Their mindless nature makes them vulnerable to traps or tactical attacks. They can be lured into environments where their rage becomes a disadvantage.

Vulnerable to Mental Control: Since they lack true cognitive thought, some creatures or abilities that manipulate the mind can influence or subdue the Wyrnhed.

2. Venewalkers (The Shapeshifting Beasts)Venewalkers are creatures that were once human but mutated into animals after the Awakening. They are known for their ability to shapeshift between human and animal forms.Physical Traits:

They have sharp animal-like senses and features, such as fangs or claws.

When in human form, they look mostly normal, but with a dangerous aura.Abilities:

Shapeshifting: Can change between human and animal forms at will.

Heightened Senses: Their animal instincts make them highly sensitive to the world around them.Weakness:

They struggle with controlling their animal urges, often losing their humanity in the process.

3. Magma Beasts (The Fireborn)These creatures were born from the intense heat and fire after the Awakening. They are fused with the power of molten lava, making them incredibly destructive.Physical Traits:

Their bodies are made of living lava, with flames constantly emanating from their skin.

They are large and intimidating, with magma flowing through their veins.Abilities:

Lava Manipulation: They can control molten rock and fire, using it to attack or defend.

Heat Resistance: Immune to most forms of heat and fire.Weakness:

Magma Beasts are vulnerable to ice and cold, which can freeze their fiery bodies and render them immobile.

4. Cryo Spirits (The Frozen Souls)Cryo Spirits are the remnants of people who froze during the Awakening. They are spirits that became one with ice and cold, forever trapped in a state of frozen agony.Physical Traits:

They are translucent beings, covered in ice and frost, with glowing blue eyes.

When they move, they leave behind a trail of frost.Abilities:

Ice Manipulation: They can control ice, forming weapons, barriers, or freezing their enemies in place.

Cold Aura: Their presence creates an extreme drop in temperature, freezing anything around them.Weakness:

They are weakened by heat, as it slowly melts them back into their frozen state.

5. Eldergods (The Ancient Spirits)These creatures are ancient, god-like beings who once ruled Medyline before the Awakening. They now exist as powerful spirits with the ability to manipulate reality itself.Physical Traits:

Eldergods do not have a solid form but exist as immense, shifting masses of energy and light.

They often appear as massive, formless shadows or clouds of pure power.Abilities:

Reality Manipulation: Eldergods can bend the laws of nature, changing the world around them.

Time Control: They can alter time, slowing it down or speeding it up.Weakness:

The Eldergods are vulnerable to powerful artifacts that are said to have been created before their reign.

6. Luminaries (The Lightbearers)These creatures were born from the light that broke through the darkness during the Awakening. They are beings of pure energy and light, capable of healing or destroying with a mere touch.Physical Traits:

They radiate a soft, glowing light and are almost translucent, with wings of light.

They appear to float or hover, their bodies glowing like stars.Abilities:

Healing Touch: Can heal others with their light, restoring health and vitality.

Light Manipulation: Can create powerful blasts of light to blind or burn their enemies.Weakness:

They are most vulnerable to darkness-based powers or creatures that thrive in shadows.

7. Voidlings (The Darkborn)Voidlings are creatures that come from the very depths of darkness. They are shadows brought to life, capable of slipping through cracks in reality to cause destruction.Physical Traits:

They are shadowy, formless beings, usually with glowing red or white eyes.

Their forms are fluid, constantly shifting and merging with the darkness.Abilities:

Shadow Manipulation: Can control shadows, using them to hide, attack, or trap enemies.

Dimensional Travel: Can slip between shadows and travel through different realms.Weakness:

Voidlings can be harmed or destroyed by light or by powerful spiritual forces.

8. Abyssal Riders (The Beast Tamers)These riders are humans bonded with monstrous creatures. After the Awakening, they became one with the creatures they once tamed, riding them in an endless battle for survival.Physical Traits:

The Abyssal Riders ride massive, powerful creatures like giant wolves, dragons, or serpents.

They are usually seen wearing armor that fuses with their creatures, almost as if they have become part of them.Abilities:

Beast Control: They can communicate with and control their creatures, making them formidable opponents.

Enhanced Strength: The bond with their beasts grants them incredible strength and endurance.Weakness:

If the bond with their creature is broken, they lose their powers and become weak.
