The world is changing. All the guidance given by Frazaris has been published, and people are slowly starting to accept it. Jiya, however, thinks that now is not the right time to speak to him about it.
A month passes.
The world is evolving, and people are becoming stronger by embracing the methods that suit them best. Some follow the mana method, others dive into cultivation, and some gifted individuals create their own unique ways. Every path is valuable in its own way.
Some individuals develop extraordinary talents—some become master builders, while others are drawn to the art of assassination. The world is rapidly transforming, yet one constant remains: people's desires. They long for peace and a healthy lifestyle.
Most diseases have vanished, but a few new ones have emerged. Creatures, plants, and animals are also undergoing transformations, acquiring unusual abilities. Ancient beings once thought lost are now returning as their bloodlines awaken.
Builders create vast arenas; powerful figures establish their own sects, and mana cultivators raise magic towers. The education system evolves, with new subjects being introduced—mental strength, mana, spiritual essence, Dao arts, and much more.
Kell and Jiya, too, adapt to these changes, embracing the methods best suited for them. Jiya has chosen to become an assassin, honing her shadow powers. But Kell is different—he has no specific talent. His parents have chosen the cultivation path, but Kell struggles to find his own way.
The rise of new powers only fuels the bullying from Kell's haters. In this world of strength and power, Kell feels helpless. His family tells him to rest, to stop working so hard, but Kell knows better. In this chaotic world, power is everything, and while he may lack it, he has his mind.
Through sheer intellect, Kell eventually becomes a successful merchant, his mind proving far more valuable than brute strength.
One day, at the arena, a large crowd gathers to witness a battle between two renowned ability users. Kell, ever the merchant, attends the event. He's here to watch the matches and place his bets, hoping to make a profit. Today's fight pits a 35-year-old man with dark powers against Jiya, his closest friend.
The announcer calls the match, and Jiya immediately activates her shadow steps. Her opponent, confident, responds by unleashing a devouring dark fog to pinpoint her position. He then casts a dark domain, confusing her. In this domain, the mind and soul are trapped in a state of hallucination.
Jiya sees visions—her grandfather's death, her family in danger, and dark powers binding and torturing them. Kell is there, shouting, trying to wake her. But nothing happens. The hallucinations are too strong.
The dark figure, Fuzi, delivers a crushing punch, and Jiya falls, heavily injured, to the ground. Fuzi thinks he has won. He raises his hand in victory towards the crowd.
But then, something miraculous happens.
A bright light erupts from behind Fuzi, shining towards Jiya. The crowd gasps in awe. Jiya's body floats into the air as an element, L37, activates. A brilliant white light spreads around her, and her eyes glow with intensity.
A holy white pattern forms on her forehead. Her eyes—half white, half black—open, and she gazes directly at Fuzi. Within moments, Fuzi's body vaporizes, leaving only a faint trace of dark power in the air.
Jiya collapses back to the ground, unconscious.
The video of the event spreads like wildfire across the world, becoming viral news. People are in awe of what they have witnessed. But Kell, deep in thought, wonders: What was that?
Only one person understands the true nature of what occurred…
Before the world changed, Jacob was researching a mysterious element known as L37.
After the shift in reality, Jacob gained an anonymous yet powerful presence and became a well-known figure in the realm of Dao cultivation.
At the Sect of Uaan, located in the eastern mountain valley of Harin, he was seen as the chief of the sect. He showed a video, and upon watching it, a devilish smile spread across his face.
He turned to one of his sect masters and ordered, "Bring that girl here, and take a few disciples with you."
"Yes, Lord," the master replied.
They began their journey toward Sky City.
Meanwhile, the girl fell into a deep sleep. Soon after, nursing staff arrived and admitted her to the hospital.
Doctors examined her, and the chief doctor said,
"Don't worry. She's okay. This likely happened due to overuse of power and heightened emotions."
"Okay, thank you, doctor," someone replied.
Kell and his family entered the hospital room and looked at Jiya, filled with concern.
Three days later, her eyes finally opened.
In her bedroom, Ru sat by her side in the middle of the night, holding her hand. When he saw her eyes open, his face lit up with joy.
"What happened to me? How much time has passed? Did I win or not? Kell bet so much money on me."
"Don't worry. Everything's fine. You've been asleep for three days. You gave your best—and you won the match."
They talked for a while, and Ru showed her the video of the fight. As she watched, worry crept into her expression.
Just as she was about to say something, a black mist spread through the room. Ru collapsed, unconscious—and Jiya followed soon after.
The next moment, Jiya opened her eyes and found herself face-to-face with Jacob.
"Oh, so the little girl misses her uncle, or not? I've missed you so much, dear," he said with a cruel grin.
Her hands and feet were bound with spiritual ropes.
"So, tell me—where is Element L37? And how did you use it? I want all the details."
"I'll never tell you anything. If you want to kill me, then go ahead."
Jacob tightened the ropes, and she cried out in pain but refused to break.
"Lock her in the prison. Torture her. Do whatever it takes to get the information about L37," he commanded.
The disciples dragged her to the prison and began torturing her. For seven days, they repeated the same cycle: torture, healing, then more torture.
Her condition became dire—she was barely surviving. Hope was slipping away when Jacob appeared again.
"Oh, dear... why are you bearing so much pain? Just give me the information about L37. I promise I'll let you go safely."
"If you're going to kill me, do it. I'll never tell you anything about L37."
"You're just like your grandfather. But he had weaknesses—and so do you," Jacob said, clapping his hands.
Some disciples brought in Kell's mother and father.
"Auntie, Uncle... you stupid man! Once I'm free, I'll kill all of you!" she shouted.
"I know you won't give me the information easily," Jacob sneered. "That's why I brought them. This is your last chance. Otherwise, they'll join you... in hell."
The torturers turned their attention to her parents, who began screaming in agony.
"Wait! Give me time—I'll tell you. But please, don't hurt them," Jiya cried out.
"Oh, so you're ready now? Then speak."
Suddenly, a loud noise echoed through the sect.
A large force of warriors had surrounded the Uaan Sect....
