Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: Tang San's Killing Resolve

Although it was just a possibility, Tang San didn't let it go. He immediately took out a dagger from his Twenty-Four Bridges Bright Moonlight and looked at his bandaged right hand.

He handed the dagger to Xiao Wu: "Help me out."

Xiao Wu didn't hesitate, immediately slicing her own left palm after cutting his, and blood flowed out instantly.

"What are you doing?" Tang San looked at her, bewildered.

Xiao Wu rolled her eyes: "Without comparison, how can you see the difference? Our levels aren't far apart. We'll know by seeing who recovers first without using soul power."

Hearing this, Tang San's heart warmed: "Thank you, Xiao Wu."

"You're welcome."

Xiao Wu smiled sweetly.

The two sat on the flowerbed, staring intently at their wounds. Before long, a change occurred. Tang San's wound stopped bleeding first, and their eyes gradually brightened.

Tang San was joyful, while Xiao Wu was shocked.

The reason she mentioned the Blue Silver King and Blue Silver Emperor was because she knew these two existed within the Blue Silver Grass, but she hadn't expected Tang San to actually be one.

Xiao Wu took a deep look at Tang San.

The reason she felt close to Tang San was because he had a strange aura that made her feel kind . Now it seemed it was likely due to his Blue Silver Grass bloodline.

She just didn't know if his Blue Silver Grass was the Blue Silver King or the Blue Silver Emperor.

It should be the former, right? Looking at him, he didn't seem to know about his own bloodline, so he shouldn't be a transformed soul beast. And how could the Blue Silver Emperor bloodline appear in a human?

Moreover, although Xiao Wu had never seen what a Blue Silver Emperor looked like, she imagined it wouldn't resemble his martial soul.

His martial soul was too ordinary, looking no different from common Blue Silver Grass, so at most, he was a Blue Silver King. The possibility of him being a Blue Silver Emperor was almost zero.

"Life, it's really life!"

In just this short time, Tang San's wound had already scabbed over, making him shout excitedly.

Xiao Wu smiled: "Congratulations, Tang San."

"Thank you, Xiao Wu."

Tang San looked sideways at Xiao Wu, his eyes revealing sincere emotion, far more intense than his earlier thanks.

Xiao Wu changed the subject: "Since you've figured out the attribute of your martial soul, you can't rely on that useless Master who's not even as good as a child anymore. Let's go to the library and read some books."

"Okay!"

Tang San nodded, his expression calm, but he had already developed a killing intent towards Yu Xiaogang in his heart. If it weren't for Li Qing and Xiao Wu, he might have been crippled.

Since Master and Li Qing had a conflict, killing him wouldn't arouse suspicion towards himself.

As for whether Li Qing could escape judgment, there shouldn't be a problem. After all, he had a good relationship with Xiao Chenyu and the others. With their background, a few words could solve it.

If he really couldn't escape, Tang San could only silently say sorry in his heart.

...

"Master, who did this?"

The Headmaster of Notting Academy hurried to the medical clinic where Yu Xiaogang was. Seeing Yu Xiaogang lying in bed unable to move, his brows instantly furrowed.

"I ran into a Soul King who was robbing people. I refused to yield, but I couldn't defeat him."

How could Yu Xiaogang possibly say he was beaten into this state by a seven-year-old child? And he couldn't say it, otherwise, his old friend would definitely go find Li Qing for revenge.

When asked then...

Whether Li Qing's secret would be exposed was one thing, but his own character would definitely be exposed.

The Notting Headmaster frowned slightly.

If he had really encountered a Soul King who was robbing people, how could Yu Xiaogang still have a chance to be rescued? However, since he wasn't willing to say, the Notting Headmaster didn't bother to ask.

"Wait here, I'll find you a healing soul master."

Watching the Notting Headmaster turn and leave after saying a word, Yu Xiaogang's face showed a hint of relief. This was why he had the physician notify the other party.

His injuries were too severe.

Relying on this ordinary medical clinic, even with a Great Soul Master's recovery being faster than ordinary people, it would take at least one or two weeks to get out of bed, and complete recovery would probably take one or two months.

He couldn't wait that long.

At dusk, the Notting Headmaster found a healing soul master. After some treatment, Yu Xiaogang successfully recovered. Although he still needed a few days of rest, normal life was not a problem.

After dinner, Tang San came outside Yu Xiaogang's dormitory, wanting to see if he was back.

"Knock knock knock!"

"Enter!"

Hearing Yu Xiaogang's voice, Tang San couldn't help but be surprised. Recovered so quickly? It seems Li Qing didn't strike too hard after all.

"Teacher!"

Tang San pushed the door open and saw the pale-faced Yu Xiaogang, thinking he probably suffered internal injuries.

"Little San, is something wrong?"

Yu Xiaogang had already borrowed money from the Notting Headmaster and planned to go to the Soul Beast Forest to find someone first thing tomorrow morning.

Tang San said obediently: "Nothing much. I just couldn't find you last night and was worried something happened to you, so I came to see if you were back."

Yu Xiaogang smiled: "You're thoughtful, but what could happen to me?"

"Oh, right, I need to go out for a few days and won't be at the academy. If you have any questions, remember them for now and I'll answer them when I get back."

Tang San nodded: "Okay, then I'll go back to cultivate, Teacher."

"Go."

After Yu Xiaogang agreed, Tang San turned and walked out of the dormitory. The moment he stepped out the door, a cold glint flashed in his eyes. He planned to act tonight.

As for following him out of the city tomorrow before acting...

Don't be ridiculous.

He still had class tomorrow. If he asked for leave and something happened to Master, he would definitely be suspected. Even if he wasn't the primary suspect, he would definitely be the one who suffered in the end.

Because he was just a commoner and didn't have Li Qing's background.

Tang San returned to Dormitory Seven. Xiao Wu said somewhat gloomily: "Why are you still going to see Master? Haven't you been tricked enough by him? Are you only satisfied if you lose your life?"

Seeing all the work-study students looking at him, Tang San had no choice but to say: "Once a teacher, always a father."

"No matter what, I did perform the apprenticeship ceremony. Since I did, he is my teacher, regardless of any other interests or conflicts."

"Huh?"

Xiao Wu looked bewildered and instinctively reached out to touch his forehead.

"What are you doing?"

Tang San stepped back slightly, feeling a bit embarrassed.

Xiao Wu said: "I'm checking if you have a fever. Otherwise, how could you say something like that? Weren't you still planning to settle accounts with him yesterday? Why the change today?"

Tang San's expression shifted slightly, and he quickly explained: "I was just angry and confused yesterday. It won't happen again."

Xiao Wu frowned slightly.

She always felt Tang San was strange, as if he had become a different person.

It wasn't just Xiao Wu; Wang Sheng and the others also looked at Tang San with odd expressions, because today's Tang San was too different from yesterday. However, they didn't think too much about it.

"Suit yourself."

Although she didn't know what Tang San was up to, since he wasn't saying, Xiao Wu didn't ask further. She said something in a sulky mood and climbed onto her bed.
