Chapter 59 - Chapter 59: Magnetic Drum Island – The Wasted Power of the Munch-Munch Fruit

The innkeeper's shock did nothing to shake Lin Mo.

But the expressions of the Drum Kingdom's guards were increasingly exaggerated.

"What is he doing?" Law suddenly noticed that the previously dismembered Wapol was now eating his own severed body parts. A surge of disgust welled up inside him. "So this guy is a Devil Fruit user too… That's revolting."

Lin Mo wasn't surprised—he already knew about Wapol's ability.

"Wapol is a user of the Munch-Munch Fruit," the innkeeper said worriedly. "Anything he eats becomes part of his body. If he eats all the weapons here, you two will be in real danger. Hurry, Lin Mo, Law—get out of here while you still can!"

"Hmph! None of you are going anywhere!" Wapol had finished eating his own body parts and then spat out a much slimmer version of himself from a large metal barrel. He then picked up the rifles scattered around by the guards and began devouring them too.

Law furrowed his brow.

His ROOM was still active.

In the blink of an eye, he appeared before Wapol again and was about to swing his blade down.

But Wapol, having just eaten several guns, merged them into a rocket launcher that jutted from his chest. At the exact moment Law's blade came down, a powerful shot blasted from the weapon, grazing Law's cheek.

The shot would have hit if Law hadn't reacted quickly enough.

"Damn it!" Law scowled and pressed his attack.

Wapol kept gobbling up nearby weapons, and more gun barrels began protruding from his body. It was like he had infinite ammo. Bullets rained down on Law like a storm.

Even within his ROOM, where Law could teleport at will, getting close to Wapol became increasingly difficult.

Then, Wapol's men rolled out a few cannons from the castle.

Wapol jumped over and began devouring the cannons one by one.

"Hey hey, those two little freaks are finished now."

"When King Wapol gets serious, he's insanely powerful."

"Hahaha, I actually feel a bit bad for those brats. Should've run while they had the chance—now it's too late!"

The guards who brought the cannons mocked them gleefully.

Law tried to stop Wapol before he finished eating the cannons, but Wapol sprouted a dozen more gun barrels and unleashed a massive barrage.

Even though Law could teleport, he lacked real combat experience with his Devil Fruit—after all, he was only fourteen.

Seeing that he was about to be overwhelmed, Law teleported to the very edge of his ROOM, avoiding the worst of it.

By then, Wapol had already devoured all the cannons his men brought.

Wiping his mouth, he turned his attention to Lin Mo, who stood just five meters away.

"You brat—I'll finish you first, then deal with the kid in the hat. Ahahaha!"

The guards laughed boisterously behind him.

Lin Mo stared silently as Wapol transformed both hands and his head into rocket launchers and aimed everything at him.

"Die, ahahaha!" Wapol roared as he unleashed the attack.

Several cannonballs of various sizes blasted toward Lin Mo.

The innkeeper, terrified, collapsed to the ground as his legs gave out.

All he could think was: It's over.

But Lin Mo remained calm as the bullets closed in.

Laughter erupted all around.

Then—BOOM! A series of deafening explosions engulfed Lin Mo in thick smoke.

Everyone—except Law—believed Lin Mo and the innkeeper had been annihilated.

Dalton, who had just climbed out of the snow where Lin Mo had knocked him earlier, looked back and saw the explosion. Regret and guilt spread across his face.

"Hahaha, that kid's gotta be toast. What an idiot—just stood there when the bullets came."

"Bet he was frozen in fear! Hahaha—serves him right!"

"Your Majesty Wapol, quickly take care of the one in the hat too. Maybe then we'll return to normal!"

The guards chattered noisily.

Wapol grinned maliciously at Law. "You're next, brat! Ahahaha—get ready to die!"

"Heh." Law suddenly let out a cold chuckle.

Wapol frowned. "What the hell are you laughing at?"

Law smirked. "You really think a tickle like that could kill Lin Mo?"

"What?" Wapol snapped his head toward where Lin Mo had been standing.

As the smoke cleared, a glowing golden sphere slowly emerged into view.

"Huh? What's that?" Wapol asked in disbelief.

Lin Mo had deactivated his Fairy Sphere.

When everyone saw Lin Mo and the stunned innkeeper standing there unharmed, jaws dropped.

"Huh? They're okay?!"

"What the hell? How can anyone survive Wapol's attack?"

"Oh my god, what was that golden thing just now?"

The crowd buzzed with confusion and awe.

Wapol snarled and pointed all of his gun barrels at Lin Mo again. "You little bastard, let's see how many times you can survive my attacks!"

Lin Mo looked at him blankly.

This guy's seriously annoying…

Before Wapol could fire again, Lin Mo blinked forward.

In the next instant, he appeared in front of Wapol.

Before Wapol could even react, Lin Mo raised a leg and delivered a brutal kick to Wapol's gut. Night Guy powered the blow, shattering the gun barrels protruding from Wapol's stomach and sending him flying in a perfect arc through the air.

"Your Majesty Wapol!"

"We're coming to save you, Your Majesty!"

The few remaining guards who hadn't been dismembered by Law dashed off to where Lin Mo had launched Wapol.

Lin Mo turned calmly and began walking toward the cable car he'd taken to reach the mountain.

As he passed the innkeeper, he said lightly, "Let's go."

Still dazed, the innkeeper scrambled to his feet and stumbled after Lin Mo.

Just as Law was about to leave too, Dalton—now back in human form—stepped in front of him.

"I know this is a lot to ask," Dalton said, "but my men were just following orders when they came after you. They're innocent. Please—help return them to normal."

Law glanced at the scattered but still-alive remains of the dismembered guards and smirked coldly. "Are you trying to tell me how to do my job?"
