Ava, Liam,Eve and Jude entered the city, their footsteps echoing through the streets. They were met with citizens cheering, waving flags and banners. Ava's eyes widened as she took in the scene. The city was alive with music and laughter. The city's leader approached them, a broad smile on his face
" Welcome, heroes ! You've saved our city from destruction. We're forever grateful."
Ava blushed. Liam grinned, waving to the crowd. Eve smiled,her eyes shining with admiration. Jude's expression was more reserved but Ava noticed a hint of satisfaction in his eyes.
The celebration continued,with food , drinks and music filling the streets. Ava and her companions were hailed as heroes, thier names on everyone's lips.
But as the night wore on, Ava began to feel a sense of unease. Something didn't feel right. As the celebration reached its peak, Ava noticed that the artifact was displayed prominently ona pedestal, surrounded by guards. She felt a sense of relief knowing it was safe. But when she turned to Liam,she saw him frowning,his eyes fixed on the crowd.
" What's wrong? She asked.
" I don't know," he said " but I have a bad feeling."
Suddenly, a loud alarm pierced the air, and the guards rushed to the pedestal.
" The artifact's gone !" One of them shouted.
Ava's heart sank. " No ,it can't be !"
As they began to search for clues, Ava realized that the celebration has turned into a nightmare. The city's Joy had turned to panic. They started questioning the guards and citizens. Ava noticed that Jude seemed particularly interested in the guard's testimony,his eyes narrowing as he listened.
As they investigated further, they discovered a cryptic message scrawled on a nearby wall : " Look Closer at those you trust". Ava's eyes met Jude's,and for a moment she thought she saw a flicker of unease. But it was gone before she could be sure.
" This message is definitely not a coincidence," Liam said,his voice low. " We need to be careful. We don't know who we're dealing with."
The team's eyes locked onto each other, suspicious and uncertainty hanging in the air. Ava's team pored over the cryptic message, trying to decipher the meaning.

" We need to find out who's behind this , let's interview the city's official, see if anyone noticed anything unusual." Ava said.

As the sun began to set, Ava's team gathered in the city's central square. The atmosphere was tense , that air thick with unspoken suspicions.
" I really don't like this at all ," Liam said ." We need to watch each other's backs."
