After Kael saw the bullets,
He spoke,
"Can I use these?" Kael asked.
"Of course, you're the only person who was able to awaken the power within this weapon."
Because of that, Kael thought of something, smiled, and said,
"Of course, Elder Lucien. This weapon only works with someone who has a unique kind of mana, and I can feel that my mana is connected to it."
Lucien was shocked at what Kael said—so was Finn, who was also amazed.
"So that means, Brother Kael… you're actually an Alpha?"
When Kael heard the word "Alpha," he looked at Finn.
"A-An Alpha?"
When Finn heard that, he looked back at Kael and replied,
"Oh, Brother, you don't know? Alphas are people with rare powers that most others don't have. They're the ones who inherited ancient abilities, and in the entire world, it's been recorded that only five people have Alpha powers."
Kael looked at Finn.
"Finn, do you know the names of those five people with Alpha powers?"
"Uhm, no, Brother… because those five are sacred and considered the most important people in the world. Even if you're a king, you don't have the right to know their names."
Kael was shocked, and he thought to himself that maybe those five Alphas were the only way he could return to his own world.
Days passed.
Kael continued training with the gun until he invented his own unique skill to solve the issue of limited bullets.
Kael invented the Mana Bullet, where he could use his own mana as ammunition. By infusing mana into an empty bullet shell, it would automatically fire a shot—but in mana form, which was even stronger than an ordinary bullet.
He would take an empty shell, fill it with his mana, and once loaded into the gun, it would act like a regular bullet.
Since his mana was black in color, every time he fired the gun, what came out was a black projectile—his mana, turned into a bullet. When it hit, the effect was incredibly powerful—twice as strong as a regular bullet.
Because of that, Kael focused his training on the gun and used it exclusively to kill goblins, orcs, and other monsters in the forest.
One year passed.
Kael had become extremely skilled in using the gun, and so he began to say his goodbyes to the people of the village, especially to Elder Lucien.
"Kael, be careful on your journey. If it weren't for you, we would've been overrun by monsters many times already. We'll wait for your return in the future," Elder Lucien said in farewell.
Finn decided to stay behind in the village because he knew he would only be a burden to Kael during his journey.
"Brother Kael, next time you return, I'll come with you—when I'm strong enough like you."
After their conversation, Kael's journey finally began.
First Journey:
Kael's first destination was the Kingdom of Velmar.
When he arrived, he saw that the kingdom looked dead and deserted. The surroundings were eerily quiet, the houses were in ruins, and the palace was completely destroyed.
As Kael walked, a monster suddenly appeared behind him—it looked like a three-headed wolf—but Kael noticed it immediately.
He readied his gun, turned around, and fired. After just five shots, the three-headed wolf was dead. But Kael noticed that more of the same monsters were coming.
Suddenly, he vanished and reappeared on the right side of one of the wolves. He fired his gun instantly, and the wolf died on the spot. Then he disappeared again.
He reappeared from the shadow of another wolf, and because of Kael's incredible speed, the three heads of the wolf were blown to bits.
One wolf tried to attack him from behind, but Kael noticed it in time. He instantly vanished and appeared behind the attacking wolf. With his speed, the wolf was killed immediately.
As more wolves charged at him, Kael moved like lightning. With every disappearance, another wolf died. In his final attack, he leaped from the ground into the air.
While in midair, he unleashed a barrage of bullets, firing like a machine gun. In a blink, numerous wolves were killed—all of them wiped out.
When he landed, it was as if nothing had happened—and Kael didn't even seem tired.
