Jack sits alone in the back office, a grim look on his face. Gamer's Den has just launched its half-price campaign, and Cyber World's foot traffic has plummeted overnight.
"Damn it," Jack mutters, slamming his fist on the desk. "That bastard is playing dirty."
Chris enters, his expression dark. "We lost half our regulars today. Everyone's flocking to Gamer's Den."
Jack clenches his fists, his mind racing. He could sabotage Gamer's Den – cut their power, bribe their staff, or spread rumors. But that's the kind of petty move Derek would make. Jack is better than that.
[Hint: Strategy over sabotage. Think long-term.]
Jack's eyes narrow. "No. We're not stooping to their level. Instead, we're going to outthink them."
Chris raises an eyebrow. "How?"
"We're going to host the ultimate gaming event – a tournament with cash prizes. We'll partner with local gaming influencers to spread the word."
"But where are we going to get the cash?" Chris asks.
Jack grins. "Leave that to me."
[Side Mission Updated: Outmaneuver the competition. Prize pool: $1,000. Time remaining: 6 days.]
Jack's heart pounds as he considers his options. He doesn't have $1,000, but with the system's Negotiation Mastery skill, he might just be able to secure a sponsor.
"Time to play hardball," Jack says, grabbing his phone. "Let's see how much my negotiating skills have improved."
