Chapter 1 - Chapter 1- The chaos in Eri-doria

This whole city harbors curses, the one that even the devil marvels at, and trust me, you wouldn't dare to come!

The sky rumbled with thunder, lightning cracking across the clouds. It was an odd night, a night the villagers have never seen before. It was something extraordinary that day. They were all scared. They shivered and clutched to each other so tight, while everyone was running helter-skelter because the sky was angry.

"Run faster, run for your lives, run for your dear lives" the villagers screamed and shouted while running for their dear lives, lightning bolts scattered in the sky, some lightning bolts killed a lot, as the thunder and lightning kept on clashing and raging in the cloud, an old woman was spotted sitting on the floor meditating quietly in her room, she sat in the middle of lighted candles of different colors, but mostly dominated with red, her eyes were closed, she began to feel an unseen presence with her, just then, a young man ran into the room, and said, "why are you sitting quietly during a chaos like this", he said, his hand clenched to the old curtain that hanged from the wall down to floor, while staring at the old woman, she was still meditating and humming a low melody song, he moved further, "do something about it, the city of Eri-doria is in big chaos, help us, old one", he said , his voice had a hint of anger, just as he was about to say more, her eyes opened sharply, she stared directly into his eyes, he stared back, suddenly her eye color changed, she was a good horoscope reader, the teller of the future, past, and present, a great witch from hell, she was the greatest witch Eri-doria had ever known. She said "what's happening today... is far beyond my power", I can't do anything about it", her voice was trembling, quite old and shaking, "what do you mean, great one", the man said watching her closely, "a supernatural being, 'a soul' was prophesied to be released from the grave on this day 500 years ago and possess a body and the chaos to come will be more than expected. Its power is more than expected, no one can destroy it", the old woman added her eyes still opened wide, no blinking, "Old one, I'm really confused at the moment", the man added, his facial expression was mixed with confusion, "it will possess the body of an infant and grow , but be aware, you are going to be the heir to the throne of the kingdom, you have to find the baby at all means… and take care of it", she said the paused at her last words, leaving the man hungry for her concluding words, just then she added, "wait…, your direct bloodline will do that, that's if she dares", she said her lips leaving a sly smile on her face, which seems like she has more hidden secrets in her, "what do you mean by, my direct bloodline", he added, "you speak in riddles", he added then released a weak sigh, just as he was about saying more, a young lady ran into the room, slender tall looking, and filled with beauty, she stared at him and said, "My royalty, Princess Liza just put to bed, to a baby girl", she said in amazement. He turned and looked at the old woman for a second, her sly smile was quite questionable, it dawned on him when he realized that his daughter had been chosen to fight some sort of resurrected devilish being, "The Blood Prophecy just started, it will soon be born", she said as her eyes suddenly turned pure white, all the candles began to blow out rapidly, the prince and the lady in the room watched silently, before the blink of an eye, she dropped dead to the floor, the maid girl quickly ran to her as she laid still on the floor, her body was already cold, "My prince, she's dead already, Lady C is gone", she said, tears dropping down from her eyes, "this can't happen, what will Eri-doria say", his voice trembling, "we have nothing to say but to inform the king, right away and prepare a funeral", she added wiping the last tears off her face while standing up, silence roamed in the room for a while.

The sky was a bit calm as the lighting subsided after the death of the old lady and the birth of the prince's daughter, but unknowingly the birth of that same supernatural being also took place during that minute.

The road wasn't clear, but the cry of a baby was pretty much loud, a woman who was also giving birth to a child laid flat at the back seat of the car, she lost a good amount of blood, while her husband was driving out of Eri-doria, "it's a baby boy", she cried out from the back, "Oh my God", he exclaimed happily from the front seat, "honey we have to go back to Eri-doria", his wife said, looking at him through the front mirror in the car, her situation was getting worse, he removed his eyes, his words were cold in her ears, "we can't go back there, no matter what, we've had two miscarriages and a death of one, we can't risk this only one, not at all, Helen", he said, she was quite an understandable woman, but she did not want to die at the same time, "we are almost there", he said speeding up as the car passed a sign bolding written.

'Welcome to the outskirts of Eri-doria'

After some while the car came to a halt in front of a small old clinic, her eyes was already feeling dizzy, "where are we…?", she said before dozing off, then her body and the baby was carried into the room for further medication, after some hours, the room was silent, they weren't actual professional doctors. Just then a young nurse walked to him with blood stained on her, "Mr. Ethan, I'm sorry to announce to you that we unfortunately lost Mrs. Helen, "but, before she passed away, she had a message for you, both the front and the back" the practitioner nurse said, handing him a paper and smirk before walking out, it had spots of blood on it, he opened it and read,

"Dear, Ethan Oscar, in case you are reading this, it means I'm already dead, but just know that I will always love you, and keep on watching you from above, take care of our child, just in case it survives, I will always love you, name him Damien on behalf of my grandfather, I love you so much, Helen baby".
