Chapter 12: The Goblin Spy
The air was still, the village eerily quiet. Mira was on patrol, her eyes scanning the tree line for any signs of movement. After the last raid, Srabon had ordered constant vigilance.
A rustle in the bushes caught her attention. Mira nocked an arrow, her gaze narrowing. "Come out," she commanded.
A small, hunched figure stumbled into view. It was a goblin, scrawny and trembling, with wide, frightened eyes. "Please! Don't shoot!" it squealed, raising its hands.
Mira hesitated, then called out, "Chief!"
Srabon and the Builder rushed over. Srabon's eyes narrowed. "A goblin? Here?"
The goblin gulped, looking between them nervously. "I-I'm not here to fight. I bring a message."
Srabon folded his arms. "Speak."
"The Goblin King is planning a major attack. He's gathering more troops. Bigger, stronger ones," the goblin stammered. "I escaped... I didn't want to fight anymore."
Srabon exchanged a glance with the Builder. "And why should we trust you?"
The goblin dropped to his knees. "Because if you don't, you're all going to die. He's coming."

Srabon nodded. "Take him to the village square. Let's hear everything he knows."
