The whole place was filled with the sound of wailing maids trying to locate where the pain was coming from when I looked towards Elena with a smirk on my face.
" This is what happens when you touch my maid, imagine what will happen if you dare to go against me! From now on keep your voice and eyes both low when you meet me, understand! " I said making Elena shudder.
"How dare you Isla... I.. I.. I will tell mom about this and then... "
"And then what? " I grabbed Elena's arm with force making Elena more scared than she already was.
"What will your mother do? This place you and your mother is living in is my father's and just because I have been silent till now doesn't mean I can't throw you out of here, so before even thinking of crying in front of your mother think what I will do to you if you did so! "
I then left Elena's hand with utmost elegance looking like a poised lady and exited the courtyard with sasha tailing behind me.
After reaching her room I sat at one of the chairs in my room and Sasha was looking at me like she saw a ghost. If she asks how I managed to beat those maids up what will i say?
It's not like I can say, yeah Sasha you know I was the top student of the MMA program our school had I can do more than what you saw, hehe.
And then what I was thinking happened "my lady where did you learn to fight like that? " Sasha asked and I decided I will have to throw my new father under the bus, sorry father!
"Sasha i am Duke Schafold's daughter, do you expect any less from me? I can do things you can't even imagine. Now stop making these weird faces and go bring some pastries for me. " I said and turned away from her pretending to read a book until sasha left.
It has been few days since the episode with Elena and life has been peaceful since, eventhough i had some encounters with my stepmother ,she seems to be too busy to bother me a glance and that works perfectly for me.
However today the whole manshion has been on a turmoil because my sweet stepmother's son is coming back from his academy after graduating.
As far I am aware from the memories of the previous Isla, this son of my step mother was sent to the academy by my father when he turned seven and ever since then I or more precisely Isla has never seen him.
My father plans to make him the heir of his dukedom and that is why he was so strict with him, and sent him far away to become worthy of the responsibilities that he has to bear.
And maybe because he is most likely the future future Duke, my stepmother has always been way too proud of herself.
If it was up to her she would've made her son the Duke several years ago so that she could bask in the benefits that came along.
Funny thing is that Isla seems to have had a little crush on her so called stepbrother because he once saved her from getting beaten by Elena when she was six.
Do I care about all this?..well my straight up answer would be NO! I just want to live my beautiful leasurely life without any problems. As long as my step relatives keep being out of my life I would also not care about them.
I just want to keep enjoying the cake popsicles while admiring these beautiful flowers. Ahh this is life, I mean compared to my life stuck with books everyday this is much better.
When I was preparing for my collage entrance, I always dreamed of having a stable income so that I can have my own little flower garden and eat cakes and fruits, which I love, everyday.
But before that I came about to be here, not that I am complaining, as long as I get to live like this, no stress, just living life.
I soon completed my cake popsicle and was about to go towards the lake where my picnic basket and Sasha are but I stumbled into a vine and was about to kiss the ground when I got caught in someone's arms instead.
My nose hit the person's chest making me wince in pain, I grabbed my nose and looked at the person in front of me, who to my astonishment I didn't know.
One thing I must say about him though is that this is a fine ass man, broad shoulders beautiful eyes, fine jaw and muscles telling me he is strong! But I am more concerned about my aching nose right now.
"Are you okay? Lady.. " He said and I just nodded before leaving towards the place where Sasha was, only she can fix me now.
