Chapter 2 - Chapter Two: Carrots and Chaos

---

---

Alan had no intention of starting his new life in this strange world by getting accidentally engaged to a bunny noble. But then again, Alan was never the planning type—he could barely match his socks on a good day.

---

"Okay, okay... Think, Alan, think. You're not her fiancé. You're just a tourist who fed a carrot to the wrong rabbit."

---

But the world around him didn't offer much time for thinking.

Vivie—the noble rabbit girl—was still clinging to him as if he were a lifeline, while onlookers applauded and cheered like they were witnessing the most romantic scene in history.

---

"You're mine now!"

---

"Wait—no I'm not! I'm a free man! A lone wolf! A bachelor by nature!"

---

"You fed me a carrot... that's a proposal in Lapian culture!"

---

"Are you serious?! That's the dumbest marriage system I've ever heard of!"

---

Zariel stared at him like he was a circus clown operating a rescue vehicle.

---

"You're making it worse."

---

"Oh really? Because I thought screaming at a bunny princess was the perfect way to fix things!"

---

Then, as any brave hero would do... Alan ran.

Sprinting through the courtyard, dodging nobles and professors alike, he burst through doors, crashed into furniture, and screamed as if the world was ending.

---

"I'm not emotionally available! Leave me alooooone!"

---

Vivie bounded after him, her rabbit-like agility turning her into a terrifying blur of fluff and fury.

---

"No one can catch the Alanster! I'm like wind! I'm like—AAAAAHHH!"

---

In one swift move, Vivie flung a hidden blade, and it sliced clean through Alan's arm.

---

He collapsed to the ground, writhing in exaggerated agony.

---

"MY ARM! I NEED IT! IT WAS MY FAVORITE ONE!"

---

And yet... even as he screamed, a new arm was growing back.

Of course, Alan didn't notice.

---

"I'M DYING! TELL MY STORY!"

---

Zariel, having seen enough, smacked him on the head.

---

"You idiot, your arm's already back."

---

He paused, glanced at the regenerating limb.

---

"...Neat."

---

No time for awe. Vivie had caught up again.

She reached out to embrace him—but Alan snapped.

---

"No! I'm not your fiancé! I'm single and proud!"

---

He slapped her lightly across the cheek—not enough to hurt, just enough to shock.

Vivie froze. Her eyes welled with tears.

Zariel sighed deeply.

---

"You've declared war on the bunny kingdom... with a slap."

---

Alan, unfazed, took off again.

---

"Run now. Regret later."

---

He ducked into the academy market, diving behind crates of vegetables, using a lettuce leaf as camouflage.

---

"If I stay still... maybe she'll think I'm just a salad."

---

Vivie hopped past, sniffing around, then bounded away.

Alan peeked out, victorious.

---

"Freedom… smells like cabbage."

---

He dashed back into the student building, threw open the door to his temporary room, slammed it shut, and collapsed to the floor.

---

"I'm safe... finally."

---

Then he noticed a note on the floor.

He picked it up. Read it.

> "To my beloved fiancé... I'll be back after lunch."

---

"Noooooooooooooo!"

---

To be continued...
