Chapter 2 - Chapter2-Upgrade! Infinite Skill Points!

Daniel couldn't wait. The moment he shut the door to his room, he opened his Character Panel with trembling anticipation.

But when the interface popped up before his eyes, his heart immediately sank.

[Name: Daniel]

[Talent: The Infinite One (SSS-Rank)]

[HP: 100]

[MP: 100]

[Attack Power: 1]

[Spell Power: 1]

[Tenacity: 1]

[Agility: 1]

[Talent Specialization: Infinite Skill Points, Infinite Plunder, Infinite Fusion, God Rank Skill Compendium]

[Skills: None]

"…Huh?"

Daniel blinked. Then he rubbed his eyes and stared again.

Still the same.

A wave of despair flooded him.

Because just earlier, as he left the Awakening Ceremony, he had caught a glimpse of the academy's stray dog. That mangy mutt had 13 points of Attack Power.

So by all appearances…

He couldn't even beat a dog?!

Daniel took a deep breath, forcing himself to stay calm. He pinned all his hopes on his Talent.

After all, even across the entire Tin-Silver Kingdom, an SSS-ranked talent was one in a billion.

With that in mind, he shook off his frustration and focused his attention on the section labeled Talent Specialization.

The first thing that caught his eye: Infinite Skill Points.

It was downright broken—a cheat-level effect. Once Daniel acquired a skill, he could ignore all learning restrictions and instantly max out its level with no cost!

The only problem… was that he didn't have any skills right now.

So, first things first—he needed to buy a skill book.

With that in mind, Daniel examined the other specializations: Infinite Plunder and Infinite Fusion.

Both were straightforward, but their implications were terrifying. Plunder let him extract abilities and skills from others, and Fusion allowed him to combine skills or materials to create brand-new ones.

Still, what truly drew Daniel's attention was the last specialization:

God Rank Skill Compendium.

When he tapped it open and saw the content inside, he froze completely.

[God Rank Skill Compendium]

[Use recorded blueprints to synthesize exclusive, one-of-a-kind God Rank Skills.]

[Upgrade the compendium to unlock higher-tier blueprints.]

[Currently Available: Ranked #100 God Rank Lightning Skill – Raging Thunderstorm]

[Raging Thunderstorm: Area-of-effect skill. Base Skill Damage 500. Spell Power Multiplier: x20]

"What the hell—?!"

Daniel was completely stunned.

Thanks to his top-ranking theory scores, he knew exactly what this meant. Normally, even high-tier skills offered around 50% Spell Power scaling. The best SSS-rank skills rarely reached 100%.

But this God Rank Skill gave a jaw-dropping 20x multiplier right off the bat!

It was absolutely monstrous.

Daniel's breath caught in his throat. With trembling fingers, he scrolled down to the synthesis formula for Raging Thunderstorm:

Required Materials:

• Skill Book [SSS-Rank: Thunderstorm]

• 10x Prime Lightning Elemental Stones

• 1x Thunderbeast Gland

His eyebrows furrowed involuntarily.

But then he relaxed. It made sense—a skill of this caliber couldn't come cheap. The materials would obviously be rare and precious.

Still… the list wasn't impossible.

Prime Lightning Elemental Stones were expensive but available through major merchant guilds.

As for the Thunderbeast Gland, while difficult to acquire, Daniel could hire an adventuring party through the Adventurer's Guild to retrieve it.

Though Daniel's home had been destroyed, the Tin-Silver Kingdom had treated him reasonably well over the years. As a result, he'd accumulated a decent amount of wealth.

Buying rare elemental stones and magical beast organs?

Totally within his budget.

The real problem was the SSS-rank Thunderstorm Skill Book.

Skill books were universally precious, and with humanity under constant threat, any book that could improve a warrior's strength was considered a treasure—let alone one of SSS-rank.

Even the famed Violet Commerce, the most powerful trade guild in the entire kingdom, reportedly had no SSS-rank skill books in stock.

Daniel's expression darkened… until a sudden idea flashed in his mind.

He remembered something from the Fundamentals of Skill Theory textbook:

"Skills of the same element can evolve from lower to higher ranks through experience and reinforcement."

If that was true, then theoretically—couldn't he just buy a lower-tier lightning skill, max it out with Infinite Skill Points, and watch it evolve?

And if that evolution system held… wasn't it possible to reach SSS-rank this way?

The more he thought about it, the more convinced he became.

Daniel sprang up from the couch.

He darted to the bed and pulled out a sleek, violet-gold card from beneath the frame.

Violet Commerce Purple Card.

The highest-tier VIP membership in the merchant guild. It wasn't just a privilege—it was a symbol of status.

Within the entire Tin-Silver Kingdom, only the royal family, top clan leaders, and a handful of demigod-level experts held this card.

Inside it, he'd stored every coin he'd earned, saved, and scrounged over the past decade.

Total: 1,000,000 Gold coins.

A small fortune—more than enough to splurge recklessly.

Without hesitation, Daniel called for the chauffeur and made his way to Violet Commerce.

As the grandest trading organization in the kingdom, its power and influence needed no introduction.

Daniel had barely stepped through the front door when a professional attendant greeted him personally.

The woman was stunning—tall, with flowing blonde hair, sharp green eyes, and legs that went on forever.

"Welcome, Your Highness Daniel. You may call me Mary," she said with a graceful smile. "For today, I will be personally attending to your every request."

"If you're not satisfied with me," she added smoothly, "we can assign someone else."

Daniel waved his hand casually, unconcerned.

Under Mary's guidance, he was escorted to the VIP lounge on the second floor.

Once they were seated, she asked, "Your Highness, how may we serve you today?"

"I need a full set of equipment appropriate for my level," Daniel said flatly. "Ten Prime Lightning Elemental Stones, one Thunderbeast Gland…"

Mary blinked in surprise as Daniel listed his shopping list like ordering dinner. But to her credit, her professional smile never wavered.

As a gold-tier attendant of Violet Commerce, she had unmatched training and experience. She didn't ask nosy questions. Instead, she quickly reviewed the inventory in her mind and prepared her response.

"Your Highness, your request is quite reasonable. Although Prime Elemental Stones are rare, as you surely know, Violet Commerce provides the finest service in the kingdom."

"Given your Purple Card status," she said with a slight bow, "I can offer the full package for 900,000 Gold coins."

"As for the equipment, in honor of your identity and continued patronage, we're happy to gift you a complete set—free of charge."

900,000 Gold coins?!

Daniel twitched involuntarily. He felt a stab of pain in his wallet.

Just buying a few items, and he'd blown 90% of his entire savings?

If he had to unlock another God Rank Skill recipe anytime soon, he'd be left penniless!

But on the outside, he remained calm and composed.

"I also need a lightning-element skill book," he said, voice steady. "Preferably something related to Thunderfall. Do you have any recommendations?"
