Synopsis
Synopsis: The author of a fanfiction (Gravity Falls) had a writer's block which, unfortunately for his readers, lasted several months. Fortunately for them, fate had decided otherwise for him... and for this fanfic. [Hello] [I really enjoy your work, but I noticed there's been a long hiatus. I wanted to ask if the project has been abandoned or not, and also request your permission to create a remake of this work.] [I'll do my best to preserve the major events, but the idea of making a remake has been on my mind for a while.] After a long hesitation and numerous deliberations, the author finally accepted this... suspicious proposal. Then, nothing. "I-I'm really a fucking Gnome!!" ## Author's Note: This is a harem and the protagonist is a jerk (he won't hesitate to act inhumanely for his own interests because for him this reality is fictional and nothing else... at least at the beginning) Warning: I am not the owner (or author) of Gravity Falls or The Owl House, nor any other fictional work mentioned here (same goes for the fanfic cover). I don't earn anything from this fanfiction!!

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: From author to supporting character

Late at night, a young student had just arrived at his small apartment.

"It's over... now let's check the notifications."

This man's name is ####.

He's just a fanfic author on the Webnovel platform.

Nothing special about his appearance or his close ones.

Why does he only post on Webnovel?

The answer to that is a bit stupid, but logical given his unique personality.

The author "####" is inherently lazy, and doesn't share his work elsewhere out of pure laziness.

Anyway, he doesn't earn anything from it, and he never intended to at the present time.

In short, he's just a passionate guy, naive enough to waste his time writing fanfics for strangers online.

'Oh crap, I forgot again.'

It's already been several months since he announced he was taking over his favorite Gravity Falls fanfic.

Yet, he hasn't published a single chapter.

The author "####" completely neglected his duty and yes, he did actually have free time.

Yet, he chose to do nothing about it, out of pure negligence and lack of inspiration.

Instead, he chose to procrastinate... and even start another story.

Unworthy behavior, but reasonable in some ways.

Better to write nothing than to write crap, right?

Beyond this reflection.

"####" knows his irresponsible nature.

So, he makes sure to give warnings about his stories. Thus, no reader can legitimately insult him.

Because yes, they were warned!!

'Anyway, I lost my notes, and laziness got the better of me.'

Many readers underestimate the difficulty of building a coherent plot.

Authors who want to write a long-term fanfic must plan, organize, sacrifice neurons in this task.

Of course, there's also the confrontation in comments with some malicious readers.

Personally, ##### likes readers who criticize his works.

But, they must have real arguments and not post a negative review because of something that has already been explained previously in a chapter.

"Ok... they're lucky I love my protagonist, because I was already considering rereading and trying to guess my intentions at the time."

After putting on comfortable clothes suitable for his apartment, #### got to work.

After all, an author must respect his readers... At least, that's what a former reader turned author himself thinks.

So, #### began rereading his own fanfic.

The beginning was sensitive, as expected by him.

An energetic Chapter 1 with a problematic start, but also a simplistic and complex evolution of the protagonist.

Unfortunately, ##### had to show his protagonist the cost behind his great power obtained too quickly.

The poor AI servant and Mabel had to pay the price.

#### read all this smiling nostalgically at his own sadism at the time.

'Haha. I literally wrote a story about a mortal, who saw the darkness of science and ended up becoming a virgin divine being several centuries old...'

#### even found the tragedies in his protagonist's life "amusing."

You need to understand that this author has a... little secret.

He always writes the first chapter on a whim using a bit of reality... Yes, the stories in Chapter 1 of his protagonists are partly drawn from a true story.

If the readers' feedback on the story is good, then #### seriously plans a sequel and starts planning.

If not? He simply forgets the idea and deletes it.

"That was really great... I'll continue."

Despite the evening fatigue, #### began planning to start writing the continuation of his fanfic.

"Huh?! A notification?"

Usually, he ignores notifications from the Webnovel app and only checks them after opening the app to read stories or post a chapter.

However, this time #### acted differently.

He clicked on the notification.

[Hello]

[I really enjoy your work, but I noticed there's been a long hiatus. I wanted to ask if the project has been abandoned or not, and also request your permission to create a remake of this work.]

[I'll do my best to preserve the major events, but the idea of making a remake has been on my mind for a while.]

It didn't take long for #### to finish reading the comment posted by a reader.

'He wants to make a remake of this fanfic?'

He unconsciously frowned, but ended up thinking about it sincerely.

"Why not? I'm tired because of recent internships and I like my new fanfic."

##### didn't want to follow multiple paths at the same time, because he is just one man.

He can't chase two rabbits at once.

So, he gave his agreement to the stranger in the comments and decided to prioritize his DxD fanfic.

[Thanks, but I forgot crucial information]

#### was confused by the message, but he pushed the stranger to continue his words.

[It's nothing much, but you could assist me a bit in this writing]

"I see, he needs a bit of momentum."

#### began drafting his acceptance message for the co-author role.

After all, he knows how hard it is to write a work and he didn't want a newcomer to give up at the beginning.

As he was sending the message to the stranger, his laptop suddenly exploded with a bright light.

...

'Fuck, my head hurts'

##### was blinded by his computer before losing consciousness on his bed... at least, he believes he's still on his bed.

"What's this situation straight out of a second-rate fanfic"

Before him stretched an immense forest as far as the eye could see.

Like any normal person in such a situation, he began to panic and make assumptions about a hypothetical kidnapper or worse.

Yet, the answer came to him in a... supernatural way.

"Grrr..." #### unconsciously gritted his teeth as he was engulfed by an enormous amount of information.

'Shit shit shit' after digesting it all, #### could finally grasp his overall situation.

Of course, he panicked!!!

"I'm in trouble, I absolutely have to neutralize Dipper"

After making his decision, he immediately stood up before stumbling a bit further.

"I-I'm really a fucking Gnome!!"

He wasn't used to his little legs and that led to this ridiculous situation.

Fortunately, he had some luck in his misfortune.

"T... that's my PC!!!"

##### saw his PC on the grassy forest floor not far from him.

Despite his knee pain from the fall and his surprise at seeing a familiar object, he acted quickly and instinctively.

The moment he reached his PC, it disappeared in the same intense light as during his reincarnation.

'It disappeared, but I can feel it'

He could now summon and unsummon his PC at will.

After checking this ability, he sat on the grass and began exploring his PC hoping to find clues.

Surprisingly, he had access to Earth's wifi in this immense forest, but...

'I can't contact anyone or post anything related to this universe'

Beyond that, the PC had other options like notifications, system points, statuses.

Strangely, there were no quests or shops.

"Let's see my status"

Name: Jeff (formerly ####)

Title: the false god, leader of the gnomes, the co-author

Age: 19 years

Species: Gnome

Strength: I (0)

Speed: I (0)

Mana: I (0)

Robustness: I (0)

Passive Skills:

Co-author (unknown rank): level -

Important note: passive skills evolve in a non-ordinary way.

"Is this a joke?"

##### felt somewhat familiar with this situation, as it reminded him a bit of Kim Hajin, the protagonist of the manhwa "The Novel's Extra".

'I already knew I was Jeff the leader of the gnomes but...'

Knowing and realizing are two different things.

##### immediately changed his name to another because he wasn't comfortable with the name Jeff.

"Since I'm a gnome. Then, I'll go with the name Wirt"

(Image)

After writing his new name on the computer, it began displaying various notifications.

However, there was one that appeared in his agreement.

[Launching synchronization between the character Wirt and ##### in progress....]

It happened without pain, but Wirt noticed that he grew in size and his clothes perfectly matched the character of Wirt from the story "Over the Garden Wall".
