Chapter 21 - .21

Rain was standing innocently, tilting his little head and looking at Danielle with an expression of confusion.

"But Mom, Rain isn't scared!"

The corpse in his hands dropped, and Danielle was left speechless.

"How did you get out?"

Something wasn't right. The space was hers to control, only she could manage it.

Just earlier, Danielle had felt a force pulling Rain into the space.

Now, what was going on?

She glanced at Zachary, who also looked confused. "I don't know!"

Rain, munching on a tomato, said, "I don't know either. I just thought about coming out, and I did!"

Danielle blinked, "Can you go back in now?"

Rain looked around, "Mm, I can see mom's space!"

With a sudden flash, he disappeared.

At the same time, Danielle felt Rain reappearing inside the space.

In the next second, Rain appeared again, out of nowhere.

In that instant, Zachary saw something.

He quickly grabbed Rain, "Danielle, look at Rain's chest..."

Danielle leaned closer and saw a barely noticeable white lightning-like mark.

Because of his fair skin, it was almost invisible unless you looked closely.

Danielle was shocked, "Has he awakened?"

Zachary, equally shocked, couldn't believe it. His son had awakened? At only three years old?

And he hadn't even awakened yet?

Despite the joy, he also felt strangely embarrassed.

He was the only one in the family who hadn't awakened!

Danielle, curious about Rain's ability to pass through walls, didn't notice the fleeting sadness in Zachary's eyes.

This was an extremely rare teleportation ability.

It was ranked third on the list of most terrifying powers.

The first was the plant-based ability.

Second was the grand healing technique, the pinnacle of healing powers.

It was said that as long as there was even the smallest bit of life left, the grand healing technique could bring someone back to life—even if it was just a head, limbs could be regenerated.

And third, teleportation... it ignored space and physical form, allowing complete freedom of movement.

But how had Rain awakened such a powerful ability? Danielle couldn't understand. He was so young, and yet, he was already on par with the prodigies from the central circle.

Danielle wasn't too concerned about unusual abilities anymore, as she knew anything could happen, and there were always strange talents around.

It wasn't until they finished filling out the form that the glow from Rain's bracelet faded.

Danielle stressed the importance of keeping this a secret, repeatedly reminding Rain.

While she was talking to him, the security team finally called.

Danielle coldly snorted and instructed Zachary to dispose of the black-clad man's body.

"Tell that person not to provoke me again, or I won't hesitate to retaliate."

The team leader, Fang Ming, had a grim expression. He hadn't expected the black-clad man to fail to kill Danielle and end up dead instead.

"I don't understand what you're talking about."

With that, he waved his hand, and the men quickly dragged the body away.

After the assassination attempt, the three of them had a light meal before going to bed. In the middle of the night, Danielle felt thirsty and decided to get a drink of water. As she passed Zachary's room, she noticed the door was slightly ajar.

Danielle swore she wasn't spying, but her curiosity got the better of her.

She carefully pushed open the door. Huh? No one was there?

Where could Zachary be at this late hour?

She went downstairs to search for him. She checked everywhere, and just as she was opening the door, she saw him.

In the dimly lit yard, without any lights on, a strong and sturdy figure was relentlessly practicing his swordsmanship.

The moves were simple, the most common martial arts techniques found in the bracelet, but each strike was fierce.

Danielle's face flushed as she watched. Hmm, his physique was really great.

But when she saw the scars on Zachary's back, a tight pain gripped her heart.

He'd been through a hard life.

Shing.

A flash of a blade startled Zachary as he saw Danielle standing at the door.

"What are you doing here?"

Danielle walked in, a bit surprised. "Why are you practicing at this hour?"

No wonder, on their first day at the villa, Zachary insisted on sleeping in a separate room.

It seemed he wanted to avoid disturbing her. Over time, her frustrations melted away.

"I… I just want to awaken my talent sooner."

Zachary's voice was laced with bitterness. He didn't want to feel useless, to be someone without strength.

"I don't want you to look down on me!"

Danielle stepped closer, intending to comfort him.

But as she entered the room, something uncontrollable happened.

The original owner had slept with Zachary, but it was just that one time, and she had been drunk, so she had no memory of his physique.

Danielle knew Zachary had a great body, but she didn't realize it was this amazing.

His muscles weren't like those of bodybuilders, bulging in chunks, but were sleek and flowing.

Drops of gleaming liquid slid down from his slightly raised chest, tracing the contours of his muscles.

One, two, three…

Oh, it was definitely eight-pack abs. The girls weren't lying when they said he was fit.

Danielle couldn't help but feel her mouth watering uncontrollably.

Gulp.

The sound of her swallowing was loud in the stillness of the yard.

Zachary's brows furrowed tighter, and his expression darkened.

The sense of disappointment that had filled his mind was quickly replaced with irritation.

"Danielle!"

"Where are you looking?"

"Ah, I wasn't looking at your abs! I didn't want to take off your pants!" Danielle stammered, trying to explain, but somehow, her hand reached out and… accidentally touched him.
