Chapter 2 - 2

The surroundings were quiet. He was confused as to where the shouting from earlier had gone. The screams still lingered in his ears, but everyone knew that it was just the afterglow of the accident.

The first to speak was an exhausted Henry. "When will that bastard listen to us?"

Mark cleared his throat with an unusually quiet voice. After a pause, he gave the answer everyone knew. "That day will never come, Henry."

"Fuck!"

Immediately, Henry started swearing and tearing out his hair. This time it wasn't just him who was left in ruins. Not only Josh's team but also the security team was a mess. It was common for the suit to be torn here and there; someone lost a shoe, someone got their tie caught and almost died chocking, and someone else almost got crushed to death. In some cases, physical weaknesses turned into strengths.

The bodyguard, who was stroking his neat bald head and smiling brightly while laughing, had long fingernail marks on his clearly exposed scalp. And that was the end of the good news.

There was not a single person okay. Fortunately, the existing security team seemed to have gotten used and just shook their heads and showed no reaction.

The team leader of the regular team said that and kept his mouth shut, but the situation was not good. Two members of the security team were seriously injured and were hospitalized. Josh's team was shocked that something like this would happen right after they returned and there would be another vacancy, but the parties involved were calm.

Anyway, after adding that they were glad there were additional people, including Josh, they went back to their seats. Thanks to this, Josh and his group were the only ones sitting together in the break room right now.

After escaping the venue where the chaos took place, they barely returned to the filming site. Some of the injured bodyguards went straight to the hospital and the others also received treatment from medical staff on set.

After completing a brief inspection, Josh and his group sat in a circle, staying silent for a while. Seth, who remained on set, was silent for a moment when he saw the members returning in tatters. He comforted Isaac by patting him on the shoulder a couple of times.

Everyone was just sighing, when there was a knock on the door and Laura showed her face.

"Excuse me for a moment, Josh?"

As he left the room in confusion, following his hand gestures, the remaining members just looked at Josh's back with a listless expression. Seth stood up on behalf of the other members who didn't even have the energy to ask what was going on, but Josh raised his hand that it was okay and left the break room.

"Mr. Miller called for you. I'm not sure what's going on..."

Her ambiguous manner of speaking was full of anxiety. She seemed worried that he might call Josh aside and hit him or do something unspeakable to him, but Josh could clearly see Chase's intentions.

"Good, I also happen to have something to talk about."

"What do you want to talk about?"

Josh looked straight ahead and answered Laura, who looked puzzled.

"I want to warn him about today's work."

Laura looked dumbfounded for a moment, but soon returned to a businesslike expression. In such a situation, Josh wouldn't just blurt out something like this. She must have an idea, because something similar happened once before. Thinking like that, Laura and Josh headed to the trailer where Chase was waiting.

*

As always, there were three or four bodyguards guarding the trailer. There was also security guards patrolling the area.

"I'm scheduled to change my shift in two hours."

The team leader who encountered Josh made a comment. Whatever the matter, it meant finishing the conversation and coming out in time to change shifts. In fact, under normal circumstances, two hours was an excessive amount of time. That was in normal circumstances.

Josh simply nodded and entered the trailer. Beyond the closing door, he saw Laura's face standing with a worried expression. Josh closed the door and turned away without saying a word.

The trailer was filled with a sweet scent. It was Chase's pheromone scent. Depending on his mood, the pheromones became stronger or weaker, but anyone could tell that he wasn't in a good mood.

Josh stood in front of the bedroom door, took a moment to catch his breath, and frowned involuntarily. It would have been difficult to ignore the situation because the scent of pheromones had blown him away. He took out the medicine he had and swallowed it without water.

After taking a deep breath, he raised his hand to knock, and the door suddenly opened from the inside. At that moment, Josh was startled and took a step back without realizing it. Of course, it was Chase who opened the door and came out.

"Josh!"

As soon as he saw his face, he shouted and immediately hugged Josh. Chase, who had a long, thin body that didn't seem to have even a pound of fat, was incredibly strong, contrary to what he looked like on the outside. If he was trapped in two tight arms, he would never be able to free himself. This time, Josh was tied up in Chase's arms and stopped breathing for a moment. It took some effort not to be mesmerized by the power and pheromone scent that overtook his entire body.

Josh slowly exhaled and tried not to inhale the scent as much as possible, waiting for him to calm down for a moment. The pheromones were so strong that he thought he would have passed out right away if he hadn't taken the medicine. Chase hugged Josh tightly and alternately kissed his cheek, neck, and lips, and after a long time, he finally opened his mouth.

"I was worried."

Relief was mixed with a faintly trembling voice. He probably already knew from across the street that Josh was safe. Nevertheless, Chase must have been worried about Josh enough to send Laura to call him out separately. Only after seeing it with his own eyes did he feel at ease. But Josh was the opposite. Chase, who had been trying to smell Josh's scent by burying his nose in his neck and making noises, looked up with a very disappointed look on his face.

"Did you take medicine?"

He seemed quite disappointed that he couldn't smell Josh's pheromones, but it was never the right time to comfort Chase by saying things like, 'I have no choice but to work.' Chase looked down at Josh's face and paused. Josh's expression wasn't very good. Chase frowned and asked cautiously.

"What's the matter? What's wrong? Are you hurt?"

Seeing him immediately lost in thought, Josh barely suppressed the urge to hit him and spat out his anger harshly.

"Are you asking because you don't know? This..." He barely suppressed his voice rising spontaneously and closed his eyes with a groan. Embarrassed, Chase released him arms from holding Josh. As soon as he was free, Josh immediately pressed him.

"Do you know how many people are hurt because of you? Why did you come back when you were going straight in?"

Although it was an obvious statement, Chase had something to say. "You almost got hurt."

Of course, the feeble protests had no effect on Josh. "Are you serious? Is there a client who wants to protect a bodyguard?"

Chase kept his mouth shut. Actually, he had a lot to say, but no matter what he said, it wouldn't make sense to Josh right now. Even if he complained that it was unfair, it was just Chase's opinion. It was true that they had deviated from the originally planned route, and it was natural for Josh to be angry. No matter how much he complained, saying things like, 'I'm worried about you', there was no way he'd listen. Josh continued talking to Chase, who bowed his head in silence.

"You have your job to do and I have my job to do, but you messed it up! Do you know how many people got hurt? Because you rushed at me without any hesitation, saying you would save me..."

Josh, who was angry, stopped. This was because Chase's sad face with his eyes downcast came into view. That wasn't all. Even tears were forming gently on his long eyelashes.

Suddenly, he saw Chase's face, who had been crying while confessing to him, superimposed on top of him. The sight of thick tears dripping without even a sob sound. Chase, who had been silent for a while, looked up at Josh, who paused for a moment. Purple eyes filled with moisture met his, and soon tears flowed down one cheek.

"Sorry," Chase muttered in a whisper and he lowered his gaze again. That was it, but Josh couldn't be mad anymore. Chase's crying face was so heartbreaking, but also so pretty.

"Ha."

In the end, Josh surrendered. He raised his hands to his shoulders, lowered them, sighed again, and messed up his hair. When he looked up again, Josh's anger had subsided somewhat, but that didn't mean he had forgiven everything.

"I can't protect you like this," Josh declared firmly.

Chase opened his mouth in confusion, but Josh interrupted him first.

"My job is to protect you, but you're not cooperating at all? So what should I do? Maybe I should quit."

"But—"

"You're noisy, so answer me. If you do something like this again, I'll quit. And I'll think twice about marrying you. It's natural, right? If I'm around, you run into danger on your own, so it's better if I'm not around."

"..."

"What is your answer?"

Chase didn't speak for a moment, his stern face contorted. Josh could tell how unfair he felt without saying anything, but that didn't mean he could just accept it. It was fortunate this time that there was no major damage, but no one could guarantee that they'd be lucky next time. Not only the people around him, but also Chase may suffer an irreparable accident. Josh glanced at Chase and waited for him to respond.

"..."

Chase, who had been stubbornly keeping his mouth shut, eventually nodded. Josh's expression relaxed when he saw his face looking downcast.

"It's dangerous. If you get hurt, I'm worried too."

"...Okay." For once, Chase answered obediently.

Josh thought as he slowly stroked Chase's ear with regret. A guy with pretty ears.

If it were Chase in the past, he would never have agreed to the idea of postponing their marriage or waiting for it to happen. If he didn't like something even a little, he would yell or be sarcastic, and he would often get angry and use violence without hesitation, but seeing him follow his words like this was touching at the same time. It was amazing.

"When we get married, let's leave a pretty mark here." Josh gently stroked Chase's exposed ear. Again, Chase obediently nodded his head. It was amazing how he turned into a gentle sheep, so Josh put his hand behind his neck and pulled him towards him. He lightly kissed his lips, and immediately Chase tried to hug his waist. Josh parted his lips before that and added in a low voice.

"Reduce the pheromones because it makes me dizzy."

"Pheromones?"

"Yes." Josh nodded his head and continued his sentence. "You can reduce it, right? I've been completely distracted because of you since a while ago. You've confirmed that I'm safe, so calm down now."

Josh, who had talked up to that point, suddenly became curious. This was because Chase's reaction upon his request was strange.

"You can control pheromones, right? You can, can't you?"

"...Why?" When asked suspiciously, Chase avoided answering and asked back.

Josh continued calmly. "Please refrain from pouring out things like this at any time. I'm going to be in trouble."

"Why?"

This time the reaction came faster so Josh also couldn't help but frown.

"Because your pheromones are driving me crazy. Don't you understand?" He grabbed his imprinted ear and shook it gently, causing Chase's gaze to briefly move towards it.

When Josh's gaze returned to his face, he expected that he would get the answer he wanted this time, but the words that came out of Chase's mouth were something completely different. "But, if I don't do this, other pheromones will get on you, right?"

Josh frowned at the fact that he had no intention of reducing the pheromones, but soon relaxed his expression and answered. "No, that doesn't have any effect. Besides, you must be the only extreme alpha on the set now, right?"

Chase blinked. When Josh looked puzzled, he paused and asked.

"Are you only reacting to me because I left a mark?

"Until another one leaves his mark." Josh, who had spoken casually, frowned hard. "You didn't know?"

Chase paused and listened.

"...It's not like it doesn't react at all, right? Even if there's a mark."

Josh explained calmly again. "Most people don't, but your pheromone has a big effect, so be careful."

Josh then asked mischievously. "You slept with me before you knew I was an omega. Wasn't it strange that I got wet?"

"Uh..."

He guessed Chase didn't know it was because he was too good at sex.

Josh was momentarily taken aback by the unexpectedly hesitant response. Chase hesitated for a moment and then spoke honestly.

"I heard that betas also get wet when they're excited."

He was about to say he didn't have that level of technique, but he stopped. He didn't want to destroy Chase's little confidence. Besides, anyway, it was true that he was excited not just by the pheromones but also by Chase.

"That's probably the case only if you're used to it. Betas don't get wet easily."

Chase blinked in confusion. While Josh thought he was cute, he realized that thanks to him, there was no doubt that he wasn't a beta.

He knew he didn't have any experience, but wasn't there too little knowledge?

Josh suddenly thought about something and immediately remembered a fact he had forgotten.

Come to think of it.

He hadn't realized it until them because of other things going on, but after finding out that Josh had his mark, Chase didn't seem at all puzzled when he saw Josh getting excited by his pheromones.

"Surely you didn't know? It only responds to the person who put the mark on."

Chase averted his gaze for the first time in response to Josh's question. Josh let out an astounded exclamation, "Huh." Before getting into this relationship with Josh, Chase had an aversion to sex, so he probably hated anyone even mentioning it, let alone seeking it out himself. Then, of course, he had limited knowledge.

Even so, doesn't he know too little? Josh, who thought without thinking, quickly corrected himself.

Well, if he said he didn't like this guy, what could have been done?

The sight of Chase with his eyes wide open, screaming, and getting angry because he didn't want to be heard was a sight to behold without any effort. Because there are children in the world that even their parents cannot do anything about. And that's Chase Miller. Although he accepted that, another question arose.

He must have learned something while watching his parents. A couple of an extreme alpha and an extreme omega, right?

When he thought about that, Chase hugged his waist and pulled him towards him. Soon their lips met, and Josh stopped worrying. That wasn't what mattered. Just like that, Josh pushed Chase and fell onto the bed.

Chase's pheromones continued to overflow and float around. Josh couldn't come to his senses. He didn't know if he survived until then because he took the medicine, or if the pheromones pouring in didn't even work for him. The important thing was that they didn't have much time.

Even as his reason was clouded and his mind racing, Josh vaguely remembered what his security chief had said to him. He initially had about two hours to spare. Of course, the team leader probably didn't expect to use all that time. However, time was tight for the two, and the time spent arguing with Chase must have diminished the amount of time they had.

How much was left? 30 minutes or 20 minutes? Maybe 10 minutes?

Unable to control his nervousness, Josh stopped kissing him and lifted his upper body as soon as he took off his jacket. Chase lay down and watched Josh above him, pulling his shirt over his head and taking it off. He reached out his hand and placed it on his chest, feeling his heart beating furiously beneath the thick muscles.

"Ha..."

The moaning sigh boiling deep in Josh's throat made Chase's back tingle. He could tell his cheeks were heating up. That wasn't the only place where the heat rose. Josh also looked down at him with a red face. Immediately, Chase lifted his upper body and placed his lips on Josh's chest. He responded immediately as he sucked his erect nipple with his lips. Josh's penis stood up firmly between his wide open crotch.

Chase hugged Josh's waist with one arm and leaned against the bed with his other hand, sucking passionately on Josh's chest. The nipples on his muscular chest quickly became wet and shiny with saliva, and the friction sound coming from below mixed with the sound of heavy breathing, along with the pheromones, completely blew away Josh's reason.

"No matter how much I suck, nothing comes out."

Josh let out a moan between rough breaths. Still, he didn't bother to take Chase's lips off his chest. Chase laughed briefly. Wind escaped between his lips, adding cold moisture to his wet nipples, sending a chill running down Josh's spine.

"Well, you won't know until you try."

With those words, Chase opened his mouth wide and bit down on Josh's chest. The tooth marks were carved so hard that it seemed as if they were going to devour his heart, causing Josh to flinch for a moment.

"..."

He almost pushed him away with a short scream, but Chase held him tighter. Immediately, he brought his lips together and began to suck hard, squeezing the round areola.

"Ugh, it hurts..." Josh groaned and grabbed his shoulder, but Chase showed no signs of stopping. He felt a strong pressure on his chest filled with his wide open mouth. With lips roughly sucking on the areola and a rough tongue grazing his bristled nipple, Josh grabbed Chase's shoulder with one hand and hugged his head with the other.

Haa, haa, haa, ah.

Moaning and breathing were mixed together and leaked out of their mouths without stopping. Josh's bottom was soaked. It felt like if he moved even a little bit, he would hear a squishing sound. Josh closed his eyes and sat down completely on Chase's body. Chase removed his hands from his grip on the bed and began to undo Josh's belt, which was sitting around his waist, then spread his crotch wide.
