Life—how miraculous, isn't it? A single cell grows into an embryo, nourished by another human until it enters the world. Yet, the mystery remains—what truly creates life from life itself? Some attribute it to divine intervention, while others see it as nothing more than a chemical reaction.
We claim to have answers for almost everything, yet when it comes to the origin of life, society often shrouds it in taboo. It is labeled as lust, sometimes even as a sin. But in reality, it is mankind's most primal instinct—so powerful that the mere sight of an ideal counterpart can render us senseless.
But what happens when an unexplainable event occurs, one that grants all living beings heightened perception and awakens their deepest desires? A world where social structures crumble, where only the strongest survive, and where power is the ultimate law.
This event became known as The Great Awakening, marking the beginning of the Era of Awakeners, or as many call it, the Era of Chaos. A mere glimpse of an Awakener could either fill one with terror or inspire boundless reverence. While some clung to the light, striving to rebuild the world from its ruins, others rallied behind darkness, wielding fear as their greatest weapon.
Through sheer determination and unwavering faith, the masses ultimately triumphed over darkness. The beings who upheld the belief that might makes right were forced into hiding, waiting for the perfect moment to strike once more. While their followers were hunted relentlessly, the forces of light grew stronger with each passing day. With no other choice, the remnants of darkness turned to the mighty beasts, seeking their immense strength to reclaim their lost power.
If you believe humans alone sought evolution, you are mistaken. All living beings, including flora and fauna, underwent transformation. The consciousness of beasts rose to the level of human perception.
During the Era of Chaos, the followers of light—The Luminaries—found themselves battling not only the forces of darkness but also the cursed beasts—creatures exuding destruction and malevolence. These creatures, loyal to the dark, attacked in overwhelming swarms, earning the name Demon Beasts, while their relentless assaults became known as The Beast Tide.
However, not all beasts were cruel. Some were merely controlled by dark forces, while others were peaceful beings with extraordinary abilities. Over time, the Luminaries tamed these noble creatures, calling them Spiritual Beasts, forging unbreakable bonds and turning them into steadfast allies in the war against darkness.
If this makes the Luminaries seem like the noblest of mankind, think again. No organization, no matter how structured, is without its flaws. Among them exist those who bow and grovel before power yet reveal their true nature when facing the weak. The upper echelons are well aware of this truth, yet they refuse to act without proof, choosing to preserve their status quo. And if you believe the Luminaries are filled only with righteous individuals, you are mistaken—they, too, are driven by the lust for power.
At the peak of the Chaotic Era, whether by the will of the heavens or the twisted design of the Creator, the two greatest leaders—Solaris Auroran of the light and The Eclipsed One of the darkness—transcended mortality, coming closer to immortality than any before them.
Thus began their final duel—a battle so fierce that the world itself trembled beneath their power. They fought until their bodies could no longer endure. Yet, despite standing on opposing sides, they held a deep mutual respect for each other's strength.
In the end, both perished in their climactic clash, marking the end of an era. From their fall, two great religions emerged—The chruch of Light and The covenant, each carrying the legacy of their fallen champions.
And so, the world entered a fragile peace, with the echoes of their battle still lingering in the hearts of those who dared to dream… or dared to conquer.
