It took me a good twenty minutes to find it, and all things considered, it wasn't even very far—just a few miles from where I could sense Piccolo and another, much smaller but steadily growing ki, which I assumed to be Gohan. At the very least, flying around and looking for it helped me get used to my weighted gi much faster. Not that I expected any less—I'm way stronger than Goku was when he started training on King Kai's planet, and this should be about the same weight he had on him.
Note to self: Increase the weight by double once it gets too easy to move.
The white pod wasn't rusted at all but was covered in layers of moss, vines, and other forest junk. I burned it all away with a small ki blast and pressed the door release button. When it opened, I couldn't stop the grin that spread across my face—because there was more than I bargained for.
Black Saiyan armor with a yellow stomach plate and shoulder pads. Black wrist guards and boots with yellow tinting. I completely ignored the spandex bodysuit—screw wearing that. But this stuff? Way cooler-looking than the orange and blue gi I'm wearing now. These will be perfect when I fight Nappa and Vegeta.
But the two real treasures of my find? A green scouter and a small, clear bottle containing two little green, pill-like things.
Saibamen. I couldn't stop the grin from spreading across my face.
But first things first—I put the scouter on and checked my own power level. I was curious to see where I stood.
Beep beep — 1,056.
Damn! My power's practically tripled thanks to that Zenkai from Tien. That's amazing!
"Now then," I hummed to myself. After stowing the armor back inside the pod, I lifted it up with one hand and closed the door. I had to take a moment to marvel at my strength before moving on. Flying up—ignoring the slight burn in my arm from the added weight—I found a clearing a few clicks away and gently set the pod down.
Then I took the little bottle and emptied the green pills into my palm.
I quickly planted both in the ground and stepped back to watch the fireworks.
It was kind of gross, not gonna lie—watching their bulging, cabbage-like heads burst out of the ground. But moments later, two Saibamen stood in front of me, eyeing me and awaiting orders. Ugly by human standards, sure—but kind of cute, in a weird way. Especially considering how useful they're going to be. I think I'll keep these two around. Maybe they'll get stronger as well?
I checked their battle powers with my scouter, and to both my expectations and satisfaction, they were each sitting at 1,200. A decent bit stronger than me at the moment. But they only had instinct and base power—none of the training I've inherited as Kakarot and a clone of Goku.
First things first, I pointed at the one on the right.
"You—you're Ichiji from now on."
Then I pointed to the one on the left. "And you're Niji."
They both nodded without complaint. I smirked. Fantastic. It's like getting two dogs that are already housebroken and trained.
…Ah. Wait. I don't even have a house.
I need to find somewhere to live. And I need cash. Just because I know how to survive in the wild thanks to Goku's memories doesn't mean I want to. Jordan was used to the finer things—like a bed, a TV, and the internet. And it's not like I need to constantly train physically to get stronger. I can train my ki while doing other things.
I wonder if the World Martial Arts Tournament is coming up soon? With Ichiji and Niji by my side, I could easily take first, second, and third place. That's, what—fifteen million zeni, if I remember right?
