Later that day,Alex attended a press conference, where he noticed a determined, Journalist Maya Singh.

Alex, standing off to side couldn't help but notice Maya's determination and poise. He felt a spark of interest but quickly pushed it aside focusing on the senators response.He was impressed by her tenacity and caught her eye briefly
Alex's Thompson Smith, who's the only heir to Mr and Mrs Ellan Thompson Smith from Washington DC ,he has been taken over his father's political occupation and in so many occasions his father's party never lose because of his father's several years and experience in politics
The senators expression remained calm but Alex notice a flicker of annoyance .
"We're committed to transparency and accountability ",the senator replied .
Maya pressed on, undeterred."That's not what I've heard,senator sources close to your office suggest otherwise"
Alex watched Maya with a mixture of admiration and wariness .He admired her tenacity but worried about the senators reaction,The senators without uttering another word stand up angrily and left the conference room,he was shocked by how Maya stood up to him because no journalist would dare go against the senators of Mr Thompson Smith,who does she think she is he wailed ,She probably just got employed Alex added,then she had to be sacked because she can't be the reason why this campaign is going to fail ,he commanded.Alex doesn't know what to say but deep inside him he can't do that to Maya not after how bold and courageous she was earlier in the conference room.
