Chapter 25 - Chapter 025 – Arisu Sakayanagi Wants an Assistant!

After Sendoh told Ryuuen that Class A used points to understand the school's nature and the behavioral norm test this month, Ryuuen began working hard.

He often picked fights with Albert Yamada, a two-meter-tall black student in Class C.

'Ryuuen wants to defeat Albert in front of the class,' thought Sendoh.

Albert was the strongest and most difficult person in class. If he used violence, he would be hard to oppose.

'But what if Albert submits to Ryuuen?' thought Sendoh.

Just one fight to control the class.

But defeating Albert wasn't easy.

Albert was of mixed race, understood Japanese, but used English in daily life.

He trained in boxing, and the results were visible.

After the fight was promised, Ryuuen didn't come to school the next day.

He arrived on the third evening, still picking fights with Albert. Albert fought back again, Ryuuen lost again.

Logically, after repeated losses, Ryuuen should have stopped.

But he didn't.

"Ryuuen is really perverted," said a student.

During lunch break, Ryuuen followed Albert to the cafeteria, attacking while Albert was eating.

During physical education class, Ryuuen followed Albert to the bathroom, attacking while Albert was inside.

Albert had to submit, by any means necessary.

The effect was clear.

When the PE teacher announced free activity time, Ryuuen and Albert left together, in high spirits.

Albert, annoyed, finally submitted.

'Is this also a PE lesson for Ryuuen?' thought Sendoh.

Sendoh had freedom, but different from other students.

'I know my situation,' thought Sendoh. 'My physique is good, but my coordination is poor.'

Many students borrowed equipment to play tennis, volleyball, or ping-pong.

Because of his weak coordination, Sendoh was worse than average.

While others played, Sendoh chose to be alone.

He took out an English dictionary half the size of his palm from his pocket.

Yes, his free activity: memorizing English.

Just as he was ready to read quietly, Sendoh saw a girl sitting under a tree in the corner of the field.

The girl was cute, with delicate features, beautiful eyebrows, and straight, beautiful silver hair. Her skin was pale, perhaps rarely engaging in sports.

Unlike Class C, Class A hadn't started their free activities yet.

Class A students were running around the field, ordered by their teacher.

The girl was alone under the tree.

'One reason: she's physically weak, can't participate, so she stays here,' thought Sendoh.

"Hm?" The girl looked up.

"Miyama-san, right," said Sakayanagi indifferently. "I'm waiting for a poor person who feels sorry for me."

A strange statement.

But people who feel sorry would surely help.

"You know, right?" continued Sakayanagi. "My physical condition doesn't allow me to participate in sports. I can take care of myself daily, but I need assistance."

She needed an assistant.

Not ordinary help.

It could include helping with bathing, fetching water, running errands, personal matters.

"Aren't there students who follow you?" asked Sendoh. "If you choose a girl from the dormitory—"

"Better to have none than a bad one," said Sakayanagi. "I need someone suitable."

High requirements.

Classmates who followed Sakayanagi weren't acknowledged.

"So, what's your purpose?" asked Sendoh.

They were in different classes. Even if they were in the same class, Sendoh, as a male, couldn't handle personal matters.

'Help Sakayanagi-san bathe? Impossible,' thought Sendoh.

"Usually, I pay with points," said Sakayanagi.

Using points to "attack."

"But I think she's not the type who yields to points," continued Sakayanagi. "So I'm trying another approach."

"Perhaps for free," said Sakayanagi.

Eh?

There was a purpose.

'Give points to disagree, then get it free?' thought Sendoh.

'The narrator says Sakayanagi is a little devil,' thought Sendoh. 'This is indeed the work of a little devil.'

Sakayanagi wanted a little assistant.

Under Sakayanagi's confused gaze, Sendoh turned around, took out his notebook, and wrote quickly.

'Studying during PE class?' thought Sakayanagi.

Sakayanagi guessed wrong. Sendoh was planning to study earlier, but now he was chatting with the narrator.

"Can Arisu Sakayanagi find a suitable assistant?" wrote Sendoh.

[If you don't take the opportunity, you can seize what's hers.]

Eh?

A strange statement. If Sendoh doesn't take the opportunity, he can seize Sakayanagi's free assistant for life?

"Is she someone I know?" wrote Sendoh.

[Yes, you've already met.]

A broad statement. On the fifth day of school, Sendoh had met more than 30 girls.

But communication was minimal.

Sendoh suddenly remembered someone.

"The girl with long purple hair at the electronics store? Wearing two hair clips?" wrote Sendoh.

[She's added new clips recently.]

The narrator confirmed: the assistant Sakayanagi wanted was a girl Sendoh knew, cold and solitary.

Sendoh saw the Class A PE teacher allow free activities. Among the dispersing students, he saw a tall girl with long purple hair, walking toward the tree, perhaps thinking about something. Suddenly, the girl raised her head, staring at Sendoh.

The girl paused, then turned around, going in the opposite direction.

'Not normal behavior,' thought Sendoh.
