Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 – Sendoh's Problem, Beautiful Girls Will Affect His Studies!

"Everyone, please sit according to your names. I am Sakagami, your homeroom teacher," said a tall, thin male teacher with glasses, introducing himself to the first-year Class C.

"This school will not change classes, and I will be your homeroom teacher until you graduate in your third year," Sakagami continued.

"This is my phone number. Please save it in your address books."

This teacher had a neat face, but his skin had some acne scars, making him look older than his age. Nevertheless, he gave the impression of a stereotypical elite teacher.

He wrote a series of numbers, 13455454XX, on the blackboard, and the students below saved his number as instructed.

Sendoh also raised his phone to save the number.

After returning from the gymnasium, Sendoh arrived at the first-year Class C. The desks were labeled with student names, making it easy to find seats.

A few minutes later, Sakagami entered and spoke in a somewhat stern tone.

"Our school has a special system that requires all students to live in dormitories until graduation," he said.

"On the 1st of each month, the school will deposit personal points into your student ID accounts. These points can be used to buy anything on campus, so consider them as money. One personal point equals one yen."

"Prices on campus are almost the same as off campus."

The students immediately opened the student card application on their phones.

Sendoh also opened his application, finding his personal information: name, student number, class, and a unique column.

Personal account.

Behind it was written 100,000.

Those were the 100,000 personal points Sakagami mentioned!

'One point equals one yen, and prices inside the campus are the same as outside. So, this means our monthly living expenses are 100,000 yen!' thought Sendoh.

100,000 yen!

For students who just graduated middle school, monthly allowances are usually only 1,000–2,000 yen. Now, suddenly it's 100,000 yen—who wouldn't be excited?

"Are you surprised by the large number of points? This school evaluates students based on ability. Being able to enter here means you are quite valuable," continued Sakagami.

However, many students were absorbed in the excitement over the points, and only a few were still listening seriously.

[The students around Miyama are getting excited, but Miyama feels anxious.]

[Not just the Student Council President, but the homeroom teacher also mentioned that this is a school that prioritizes power.]

[And now, Miyama begins to observe the classroom.]

[Miyama notices the girl in front. She turns around, smiling sweetly.]

"..."

Sendoh was starting to get used to the narration in his head.

Sendoh put away his phone, but didn't turn it off. He activated the recording function to record Sakagami's words.

'If the Student Council President's speech had important points, surely Sakagami-sensei's speech will too,' thought Sendoh. 'Are the speeches in all four classes the same?'

Sendoh decided to record it just in case.

The girl in front of him, Shiina, turned as if sensing something and smiled politely.

'Even if it's just a polite smile, Shiina-san is indeed cute,' thought Sendoh. 'Her silver hair is similar to Kei's.'

'Why is my desk mate Shiina-san, whom I met at the gymnasium? She seems like the prettiest girl in class,' thought Sendoh.

Despite the distance, Sendoh could smell a soft fragrance from Shiina.

'This is annoying,' thought Sendoh.

Yes, this was a problem for Sendoh.

'Wouldn't the presence of a girl like Shiina-san be distracting during class and affect my studies?' thought Sendoh.

This is a big challenge for someone who wants to focus on studying!

However, now was not the time to think about that.

Sendoh had confirmed that he was bound to this narration system, which provided comments and information. Although it sometimes felt like instigation, the system also revealed important things.

'What information did the system just provide?' thought Sendoh.

The system mentioned that he began to observe the classroom.

'Is there something in the classroom that needs attention?' thought Sendoh.

Sendoh noticed two cameras in the classroom: one in the front, one in the back. Their lights were on, indicating they were recording.

'It's not exam time, why are the cameras recording?' thought Sendoh.

The class meeting ended quickly. Sakagami asked some students to get textbooks. After distributing them, he announced that students could rest for the day, and formal classes would begin tomorrow.

The school provided dormitories. Students could go to the dormitory administrator on the first floor with their student cards to get room keys.

The students began to move.

There were two main destinations: go to the dormitories to see their living quarters for the next three years, or check if the 100,000 personal points could really be used like money. If those points were valid, it was a large amount.

Sendoh stood up.

"Miyama-kun," said Shiina Hiyori, who also stood up from the desk in front of him.

"Do you want to bring those books to the dormitory?" asked Sendoh.

Sendoh noticed that Shiina had stacked five books on her desk.

The school had nine subjects, each with textbooks and workbooks, totaling more than a dozen books, weighing about five kilograms.

Sendoh suddenly remembered Sakayanagi, the girl with a cane in the infirmary.

'With her condition, it must be difficult for Sakayanagi-san to carry so many books to the dormitory,' thought Sendoh.

"I like reading books. Even though these are textbooks, I want to bring them to the dormitory," said Shiina-san. "But before that, I want to check various places at school. I feel uncomfortable about the sudden 100,000 points given."

'I see,' thought Sendoh. 'The 100,000 points are indeed suspicious.'

For Sendoh, that amount was enough to pay two months' rent for his family. If 100,000 points were truly equivalent to 100,000 yen, this was a great opportunity.

'If I could set aside some to send home, it would be very helpful,' thought Sendoh.
