Chapter 5 - Fall of the Sky King

Las Vegas – Dusk.

The city is on edge. Gangeyan's latest attack has left a power plant in ruins. Satellites track him soaring through the desert skies—graceful, terrifying, unstoppable. The media calls him "The Sky King." But to Sakthivel, he is still Dr. Ravichandran—trapped in a body of feathers and fury.

Inside their hideout, Harichandra watches footage on a loop.

"He's learning. Adapting. We have one shot."

Sakthivel studies the aerial patterns.

"Then we take the fight to the skies."

The others fall silent.

"You're talking about skydiving… onto a flying monster?" Narayan asks in disbelief.

Sakthivel doesn't flinch.

"That's the only way to reach him. Face-to-face. Wing-to-heart."

Later That Night – Rooftop Terrace.

As preparations begin, Sakthivel receives an unexpected call from his aunt, Madhumitha. Tears line her face.

"You always had your uncle's fire… but this isn't a game anymore."

Sakthivel speaks softly, placing his words carefully.

"This fire has to burn for something, Aunt. I've seen what he's become... but he's still in there. I have to try."

She nods, understanding but heartbroken.

"Then fly strong. And come back whole."

Mission Day – 15,000 Feet Over Nevada.

The team boards a tactical aircraft, secured through Harichandra's army contacts.

Sangeetha sits at a portable console, wires snaking everywhere.

"I've cracked the control signals embedded in Gangeyan's neural frame. Triggering Flight Mode… now."

Miles away, Gangeyan shudders mid-flight. His wings stiffen, his eyes glow electric blue. He rises higher than ever—drawn by a phantom signal.

"He's coming," Gautham says. "Right above us."

Narayan double-checks Sakthivel's suit and custom glider-pack.

"If your parachute jams, this secondary wing will kick in. But if it fails…"

Sakthivel nods grimly. "Then I fly without it."

Harichandra hands him a pulse weapon and a final tool—a nano-injection key designed to reverse Gangeyan's transformation.

"Inject it into the central control node—on his spine."

Skyfall.

The hatch opens.

Wind roars. Time slows.

Sakthivel dives.

Below, clouds ripple as Gangeyan bursts through, his wings slicing the air like blades. The world becomes a blur of blue, white, and shadow. Sakthivel twists mid-air, locking eyes on the creature below.

He maneuvers, dodging a swipe of talons, then grabs onto Gangeyan's back—his fingers latching onto coarse feathers and cybernetic mesh.

Gangeyan shrieks, spiraling through the sky, trying to shake him off.

"I know you're in there, Doctor!" Sakthivel yells over the wind. "I'm here to bring you back!"

Fighting gravity and Gangeyan's thrashes, Sakthivel reaches beneath the feathers—finally locating the glowing control core, pulsing like a second heart. He slams the injection key into it and presses the override button.

Time stops.

Transformation.

Gangeyan convulses. His scream echoes across the sky. Feathers burst into light, metal limbs retract, talons melt into fingers.

Sakthivel is thrown clear, tumbling through the air—but just before he blacks out, his glider-pack opens.

Above him, a phoenix-like eruption glows.

And out of it, two separate forms emerge:

Dr. Ravichandran, human once more, falling gently with a backup parachute.

Gangeyan, the eagle, now free from human influence, soaring into the horizon with newfound grace.

On the Ground.

Paramedics rush to the landing zone. Sakthivel, bruised but alive, pulls himself upright. Gautham hurries to Ravichandran, who groggily awakens and whispers:

"I saw everything… I remember. Thank you, Sakthi."

In the sky, the eagle circles once... then disappears into the setting sun.

The team gathers quietly at the edge of the Mojave Desert. No words. Just breath. Relief. Awe.

The impossible has been done.

But even as they celebrate, Sangeetha's satellite feed flickers to life in her hand.

"Guys…" she says.

The screen shows another underground lab—this one in Mexico.

Multiple creatures. Hybrid prototypes.

And Vikram Jadhav, still at large, preparing for Phase Two.
