Arc: Danger

Chapter 6 – Shadow of Danger

Under the bright sun, the trees swayed as if hiding a deep secret. Bokuro breathed heavily, clutching his Script close to his chest. There was something different in the air—something that couldn't be explained in words.

"Stay alert, all of you," Master Yusugo said in a low tone, "Something's wrong in this valley."

Along with Bokuro's team was another squad led by the experienced Captain Akishi, with his three skilled members:

Captain Akishi – Calm but sharp-eyed warrior.

Yamakaze – A master of speed, who moved like the wind.

Tatsuto – Powerful but emotional fighter.

Gekjin – Silent, but in his silence was hidden destruction.

As they crossed the valley, the village of Omisha came into view—or what was left of it.

Burnt houses, broken roads, and dust-covered walls stood as proof that something terrible had occurred here. But the strangest thing was—there were no dead bodies.

"Where are the people...?" Bokuro asked softly.

Yusugo closed his eyes and tried to sense their emotions.

"They're not dead," he said, "They're not hiding either... they're being held."

Just then, a chilling breeze blew from ahead. Bokuro looked forward—a tall, terrifying figure stood at the village square. His eyes were white, his body scorched, and dark Scripts floated around him. His name—Fushiken.

"He... doesn't seem alive..." Kitsui whispered.

"Because he isn't," Yusugo replied, "He's been resurrected."

Fushiken, a general of Kazan Kaga—once a powerful Scriptor, now reborn through forbidden emotional Scripts. A soul revived by Kazan's dark books.

He spoke with no hatred or rage. Calmly, he said,

"I didn't kill them... I'm keeping them safe. Until Kazan's message is fulfilled, they will stay with me."

"You think we'll let you do this?" Tatsuto stepped forward in anger.

But Yusugo raised a hand, stopping him.

"Not yet. We need to understand what we're facing."

Fushiken opened his Script. A glowing word appeared in the air, written in red and blue ink:

"Silence"

And with that word, the entire village went still. Birds, wind, even the leaves stopped rustling. It was as if time itself had frozen.

Bokuro felt it—this wasn't just power. This was a warning.

Captain Akishi said, "He's not just destroying the village... he's breaking our will."

"But why?" Bokuro asked.

Yusugo answered, "Kazan Kaga wants us to fear. He doesn't want a war. He wants surrender... without resistance."

Fushiken uttered another word:

"Split"

The ground trembled. A giant crack split the village in half. Standing on the divide was Fushiken, with the village people held captive behind him.

"If even one of you steps forward, I will trap their souls in my book."

There was no madness in his eyes, no anger—only emptiness.

Bokuro clenched his fists, but Yusugo stopped him.

"Not today," Yusugo said, "Not yet. Right now, we observe... and learn."
