(15th August 1947)
It has been over 35 years since I got reincarnated over a century back after being hit by a truck.
In my previous life, I was an ordinary college student. And in this life, I was born as Krishna Kumar, the only son of a jeweller in Surat in 1912.
Since I was born during the Colonial Era, it was only natural to aim to free my country and become the first PM of India, to use my future knowledge and fix things.
In 1928, at the age of 16, I started AMUL, and when captured most of the export market to Mumbai around 1929 end due to my union company being a, union, I raised the prices of milk and milk products for British by 50x, and when the Salt Tax was introduced, I started the Complete Independence Movement, and refused to halt it even temporarily to negotiate with British, unlike Gandhi, knowing that it will be useless.
I got arrested for some 5-6 years, and the movement lost momentum.
In 1936, I was released, and joined Congress, becoming the Congress President from 1936 to 1941, leading the Do or Die movement and informing the people, especially police and army, to revolt against the British and take advantage of WW2.
I was arrested again, and only released after Red Fort Trial, when the British wanted to make an example out of the three commanders of Indian National Army by executing them, which led to police and military finally doing large scale boycott, and the Navy even rebelled.
In 1946, I got 6 out of 16 votes in the INC President nomination, and Sardar Patel got 10.
Gandhi's favourite, as expected, got 0, and even though he convinced Sardar Patel to drop out, he couldn't convince me.
Against Sardar Patel, the excuse was the he was too old. Well, since he died not too much after Independence in my previous world, that's reasonable.
But against me, his excuse was that I was too young. 35 is in no way 'too young'.
Anyway, I managed to become the PM. Pakistan was still created. Fantasy and reality are two different things.
Congress under me formed the 1946 Interim goverment on the basis of the provincial elections, where Congress had very clear majority.
When Muslim League under Jinnah started the Direct Action Day to genocide non-muslims, I gave an arrest order, but the Supreme Court(obviously under British), ruled it out because he is the leader of opposition.
Despite the fact that he is being Hitler and committing genocide.
And not only that, British government forcefully put Muslim League into the many ministries, including something as important as finance and foreign affairs.
It is clear that UK wants to create Pakistan. And it is also clear that not just Jinnah and Muslim League is responsible for the genocides and terrorism.
Hitler wouldn't have been able to conduct genocide and terrorism if the Christians didn't already have genocidal thoughts towards Jews, and he gave them the opportunity and fueled their hatred.
So, its best to let Pakistan be formed, form actually good constitution for India instead of the discriminatory mess it was in my previous world, and then during the inevitable wars, win back important territories and ensure that Pakistan never becomes a problem. Or better yet, doesn't exist at all.
A civil war is way worse than a war.
I sighed and contemplated on what to do from now on, as the first PM of India.
The first thing to do is obviously reorganize military. I need to remove the British officers, and ensure a way such that military coup becomes impossible. Thankfully, I already have a model since the previous world's India was very successful in this matter.
Let's see what I have to do immediately:
1. Prepare for war against Pakistan.
Will take back Lahore and Pashtun regions to being able to connect to Central Asia.
Expand the Chicken-neck and take back the more west area of East Bengal, and if possible, take Chittagong.
2. Solve the problem of Jammu&Kashmir, and Hyderabad and Junagadh at the earliest. Most of the other princely states are already integrated, with small ones like Sikkim still remaining.
3. Drive out French and Portuguese before formation of NATO. Well, French did go away easily, the main pests are Portugese. Do it before 1949.
4. Become a Security Council Member of UN. Hmm, it should become a 1st priority. Do it before war with Pakistan.
Hmm... for now, let's focus on these 4 goals.
Putting these goals aside for now, I addressed the parliament at the midnight, when 15th August just started.
