Chapter 3 - Hero Of Light

My father cleared his throat as he began to tell me the story

"In a world shrouded in darkness there would come a hero who would save us all, from the moment he was gifted to this world he suffered from many hardships."

"Even with everything against him he still tried with all his heart to save us."

"He faced many, and lost some but he would always find a way to defeat all who stood in his way from reaching god of the abyss."

"He became stronger and wiser with each battle met more people, and even made some friends, but when he finally faced Skero, god of the abyss, he realized that they weren't enough."

"He was overtaken with fear, unable to even move in the gods presence."

"Skero lunged at the hero of light, but it was intercepted by his friend, the claws of the god peirced through his friends chest leave the hero to stand in shock and horror."

"With the death of his friend he knew he couldn't let him die in vane so he picked his sword back up and began his assault."

"The fight lasted for hours until the hero collapsed to his knees infront of the god."

"The being mocked the hero before shoving his fist through his chest."

"The hero declared that he would kill the god and then wrapped his arms around him."

"See you in the afterlife" the hero said before imploding on the god, killing him instantly."

"However the price of that power...was his own soul, a death fitting for a hero."

"For his acts he was forever segmented in history."

"Atlas, The hero of light."

"this book is so...cliche"

I thought to myself

"Why are you reading her that?"

My mother questioned as she started to set up the dinner table

"Why not, this was my favorite book as a child."

He responded

"Well she isn't you is she, now come here Luna, it's time for you to eat."

My mother picked me up from my father lap and placed me into a high chair

"what's for dinner."

He sat up from his chair and walk over to the dinner table

"Cabbage soup, Chopped lettuce and Carrot bread."

My mother said while feeding me porridge

"Don't mind if I do."

After we finished eating my father helped me burp while my mother was cleaning up, a few hours later I was in the crib staring at the ceiling, lost in thought as my consciousness slowly faded
