PROLOGUE: UNKNOWN WORLD, 2 WEEKS AGO

Under the radiant sun, with bloodied hands, he stood steadfast—a solemn visage hiding a shattered dream. Yearning for the impossible, Rex Dé Helfoutr carved history with his own hands.

He was the Celestial Demon God.

His people trusted him unconditionally—or at least, that's what he thought.

War… the thick fog of blood had covered the battlefield. Soldiers screamed in agony and despair, begging for mercy.

A pile of dead bodies, and there stood a man with a sword covered in blood. He shouted, "MY SOLDIERS, DO NOT FALTER! DO NOT SHOW MERCY TO THOSE WHO MADE US SUFFER! MY SOLDIERS, SCREAM! MY SOLDIERS, FIGHT! AND THIS WILL BE OUR GREATEST VICTORY!"

Because of those formidable words, the army's morale soared.

The soldiers, on the verge of death, stood up like the undead, their resolve unwavering. Their skin hung from their bones, some stabbed through the abdomen, but in the eyes of the dead man and the soldier, peace would never be attained peacefully.

A war… an endless war. They fought for a month without rest, but the Commander, Rex Dé Helfoutr, showed no signs of fatigue. Stab, slash, thrust—he charged into the heart of the battlefield. He slaughtered everything in his path, hoping that killing the commander of the invaders would bring an end to the war.

It was a success. He succeeded in killing the commander, but there, he was slain as well—not by a monster nor an enemy, but at the hands of his loyal—no, his traitor. A dagger was plunged into his heart. He died in honor. The commander didn't die while lying down; instead, he stood, his sword pierced into the ground to support him, his eyes never closing, just like his will.

Under the radiant sun, with bloodied hands, he stood steadfast—a solemn visage hiding a shattered dream. Yearning for the impossible, Rex Dé Helfoutr carved history with his own hands.

He was the Celestial Demon God. Died by the hands of a traitor, worshipped by the people, admired and respected. A book dedicated to his heroic deeds was published by his blood brother.

But the undying hero? Where did he go? Is he watching us from above, still protecting us? A rumor, a legend passed down through generations, claims the hero never died and still protects them from danger. Because the body of the undying hero had gone missing.
