Windbound nation, know around the entire world of Earthrosa as the "nation blessed by the winds". It may look enclosed at first glance, judging by the thick walls which surrounds the main city of the nation where most of the population reside but the it's actually the opposite.
Sure, many other nations besides the windbound nation exist around the world but none can compete the freedom this nation blesses it's people with and the literal god this nation worships is known as the "god of freedom".
Vast landscapes filled with various Flor and fauna covers most of the nation as only the small portion of the nation is where the main city, Eleutheria is located. The people of this nation are free minded and very kind, just like the wind. Their mastering of the wind magic is one of the leading reasons for the peculiar name of the nation but surprisingly the nation is inhabited by many different kinds of people who are from different places around the world which makes up most of the population of this nation, meaning, this nation holds more people from outside or other places than the people who are born in this nation.
It may sound strange at first for many but the fact that this nation welcomes anyone who isn't here with evil intentions would make it less strange and would also explain the reason for the majority of the population being outsiders.
/In the main city, Eleutheria/
The dandelion seeds caressed by the warm wind could be seen dancing around various parts of the city. The city, as busy as ever felt a sense of relief when the people who were busy with their own respective tasks turned their eyes towards them. Well, except for one.
While gasping for air, one young man could be seen breezing his way through the narrow alleyway. Behind him, several people or judging by their attire, several soldiers were chasing him relentlessly.
The young man had his face covered by a dark hood which was pretty strange because the hood didn't cover his face completely nor did it reveal everything, half of his face below his nose were completely visible.
The alleyway had various obstacles and turns so sudden which would end up making others crash against the wall but it was obvious that he was an exception. He swiftly breezed through all the obstacles and sudden turns signifying that he knew these places a bit too well.
"Dark knight!! Stop this instant! It's the last warning or else we will be forced to shoot you down!"
There were four soldiers who were chasing after him, not all of them were chasing him at the same pace judging by the distance that could be seen among the four soldiers. Among them, the one who was at the front and also the closest to the dark knight, as they titled him, shouted with all his might.
The chase continued but no reply could be heard from the dark knight. The soldier who questioned let out an irritated noise.
Left with no choice, he was forced to use his weapon even though he refrained from using it for quite a while during the chase.
He took a deep breath, followed by a deep exhale right after. He covered his right eye with his right hand, palm of his hand to be specific. While covering his eye, he uttered these words.
"Windborn chronicles: name of the wind"
His words stopped and immediately after his eyes were glowing, the color of his right eye had changed from dark brown to somewhat green, not completely green as it still had a faint color of dark brown in it.
The green color which was now the color of his right eye could also be seen on his hand, his hand which had covered his eye was being embraced by green energy, similar to the color of his eye as if the energy was once in his right eye and it had transfered on his right hand.
The green energy was violent, it was raging as if it were alive. The guard who questioned pointed his right arm which held the violent green energy towards the dark knight.
The green energy didn't waste another second as it left the hand of the soldier and towards the dark knight, with immense speed that is.
/Before the chas began/
The main city was at it's busiest period of the day, afternoon. All were busy with their respective works, some were busy selling various items in their shops, some were buying the items, some were cooking delicious delicacies and some were feasting on those delicious delicacies but all of it stopped with the arrival of just a single person.
The drums of liberation could be heard.
The main entrance, the huge city gate was being push opened following the hearing of drums of liberation, someone important had arrived at the main gate.
Everyone in the city left whatever they were doing and hurried their way towards the main gate. In just minutes, the inside of the main gate which was vacant was bustling with people.
The gate slowly opened as it was huge, almost as big as the thick and tall wall that surrounded the main city but eventually it opened completely. The eyes of the people were stuck on the figure which stood tall at the outside of the main gate.
Mounted on his beautiful white horse, the figure which was being kept hidden by the harsh sunlight that directly struck the eyes of the people in the crowd, was revealed.
A young man, possibly in his mid 20s could be seen mounted on the beautiful horse. As if complementing the beauty of the horse, the young man was as beautiful or even more beautiful than the horse.
The crowd cheered, indicating their love for this young man as just his presence made them so joyous. The young man, reciprocating the cheers of the people raised his hand towards them, followed by a warm smile.
The horse mounted by the young man entered the main city with warm welcome and cheers of happiness changed the entire environment of the city. Just moments ago, all were busy with their own tasks now, they were all united in one place and celebrating the arrival of someone who they had been clearly waiting for a long time.
Following the beautiful young man and his horse, many other soldiers and guards entered through the main gate, the guards were mounted but soldiers were on foot.
The cheers had now turned into chanting of most probably the young man's name, the crowd screamed.
"Ice prince!! Ice prince!"
"K. Leonard, a word?"
The ice prince called out one of the guards, specifically the one who was just behind him who was mounted on his own horse which was dark and so were the other horses mounted by other guards.
Upon hearing the call from the ice prince, he immediately moved his horse closer to the ice prince.
"Yes, my lord?"
"You mentioned the notorious criminal that had been surfacing a lot these days? Any updates about him? Most of the elden guards were out of nation because they had to company i and my family through our journey to the Flamewright nation but still, the safety of our people is still the top priority for me as their prince."
The ice prince spoke, his voice filled with concerns reached the ears of the nearest elden guard.
"Oh, about that my lord. Thankfully, that notorious criminal is known only for stealing valuable items and not for causing harm to our people but still, it makes him a wanted criminal nevertheless."
"Oh, — A deep sigh of relief followed — that's an excellent news but still, just because he isn't doing it right now doesn't mean he never will, we must ensure the safety of our people, we can't dwell on possibilities. Make sure to inform the other elden guards and soldiers who are returning with my family to speed up their journey. We must tighten the security in the main city and catch this criminal as quick as we can."
Hearing the words of k. Leonard, the ice prince was relieved but he was quick to address his concerns regarding his people. His love for his people explained a lot regarding the immense respect and care the crowd had towards the ice prince, both sides were reciprocating each other's feeling very well.
"K. Leonard, while we're at it, let's discuss this as well—"
He had just initiated another conversation with the elden guard but his words were cut short. His could feel that he was falling because the world around him was ascending or was he the one descending towards the ground. He only realized what was happening when his gaze turned towards his horse, it's head was missing.
