POV: Leon S. Kennedy
Location: Northern Wall – Echo Base Ruins
The ground was already shaking when Leon arrived.
But nothing—nothing—prepared him for what came next.
Grimm had changed.
He towered over the wreckage of the Echo hangars, muscles stretched with blackened Genesis crystal. His skin glowed like lava beneath cracked stone, and horns spiraled out from his forehead like a crown forged in hell.
One red eye.
One Genesis eye.
And a mouth that split wide open into a monstrous scream.
Leon raised his weapon, heart pounding. "Everyone—spread out! Keep him from the evac path!"
Police squads scattered. Choppers circled.
Grimm roared again—and slammed both fists into the ground.
The shockwave flattened two buildings.

The Battle Begins
Leon led the charge.
A hail of bullets. Grenades. EMP pulses.
Nothing slowed Grimm down.
His roar shook bones. He grabbed a vehicle, crushed it in one hand, and hurled it into a drone squad.
Leon fired his final clip—then dropped the gun and drew his knife.
"You always were ugly," he muttered.
---
Leon vs. the Monster
Leon sprinted through falling debris, leapt onto Grimm's arm, climbed—slashing, stabbing into the Genesis veins.
Grimm howled and tried to shake him off.
Leon hung on.
"Come on, big guy. Fall already."
A final stab—into the base of Grimm's neck.
The creature staggered.
But didn't fall.
It laughed.

Grimm's Second Evolution Begins
Genesis veins pulsed violently.
Grimm's body began to change again.
Spikes. Extra limbs. Armor made of fused Echo tech and organic matter.
Leon dropped back to the ground, rolling to his feet, barely breathing.
He stared up at the beast—and whispered, "...Well, that's new."
Behind him, sirens blared.
Police regrouped. Floodlights flickered.
The sky was turning red.

End Scene Tease:
As Grimm roared into the storm-filled sky, Leon looked back toward the shadows of the ruined base.
"We're gonna need everyone," he muttered.
Then he pulled his comm.
"…Where the hell is Ada?"
