Dr. Tofu sat at the meeting table, anxiously fidgeting with his thumbs. He sighed and glanced around at his fellow colleagues. "So, this presents a significant problem. Subject X-147 appears capable of manifesting within higher narratives—though at this point, I'm not even certain we should continue referring to it as 'Subject X-147,' considering that we originally treated that as merely a self-insert."
Dr. Vento abruptly interjected, his voice angry like a giant who had swallowed a pack of dynamite. "So you're telling me Subject X-147 is just an avatar that can only materialize in lower narratives—while its true form is capable of ascending through the entire Narrative Stack? That's absolute bullshit!"
Dr. Tofu tried to remain calm. "While it may sound far-fetched, the evidence we've gathered suggests otherwise. We observed it annihilate an Author Entity."
Vento slammed his fist on the table. "And what the hell is an Author Entity!?"
Before Tofu could respond, Professor Zeke cut in smoothly, his tone calm but firm. "Every narrative weather upper or lower is governed by beings we classify as Author Entities. For each infinite narrative, there exists a superior, transdental narrative where its respective author resides." He continued, "These entities control, edit, erase, and manipulate everything within their subordinate narrative. They are the writers of the plot, climax, progression—all aspects of the story's construction, akin to a traditional author."
Zeke's voice lowered slightly. "Moreover, we have confirmed they perceive the entire Narrative Stack as nothing more than a grand fairytale. They are the embodiment of narrative essence itself." "In functional terms, they can be regarded as omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient deities—but," Zeke emphasized, "they are not invincible. They can, in fact, be killed."
Dr. Vento scoffed, folding his arms. "And you expect me to just accept this absurdity!?"
Professor Zeke shrugged indifferently. "Believe whatever you wish. I'm not here to force dogma upon you. Hell, once you come to terms with the fact that you're merely a fictional character within a infinite omniverse—manipulated by a self-sufficient, all-powerful being, and observed by an external reader—your understanding of what's plausible tends to shift rather dramatically." He leaned forward, voice sharp. "But right now, I need you to engage that brain of yours, because we need viable strategies to counteract the Anti-Theory."
Dr. Tofu: "So that's what you've decided to call it."
