Chapter 2 - Wishes

"What's happening? I thought I was a goner. What are all these lights surrounding me?"

As Daniel sped through the tunnel, confusion clouded his mind. He felt himself being pulled along by an unseen force, the sensation surreal. Deep down, a thought began to take shape.

"Is this... reincarnation?" he pondered, grappling with the overwhelming experience.

"What should I do? Should I make a wish for my next life? It can't hurt to try."

With that thought, he began to form his wishes in his mind, a quiet prayer rising to the unknown forces guiding him.

"Dear God, please let me be rich, handsome, comfortable, have a loving family, an intelligent and beautiful wife, and live a long life."

Daniel repeated these heartfelt wishes, each word carrying his hopes through the endless void of the tunnel. As he did, he caught sight of distant orbs pulsing with an otherworldly light. Something about them called to him, and his instincts screamed that they were essential. He had to reach them.

Without hesitation, he fixed his focus on the orbs, swimming through the tunnel with an unorthodox technique, almost like a fish gliding through water. To his surprise, his method worked, propelling him forward faster and faster, closer and closer to the mysterious orbs.

As time stretched into eternity, Daniel's wishes echoed through the dark void, unwavering and persistent. He wasn't sure how long it had been, but eventually, he reached the first orb. Stretching out his hand, he touched it, and it dissolved into him.

In an instant, the tunnel transformed. The void dissolved into a breathtaking galaxy filled with stars and cosmic clouds. It was as if the entire universe opened up before him, stunning in its grandeur.

His excitement surged as he noticed the next orb in the distance. This time, his movements were quicker. The first orb had invigorated him, and his speed surged as he advanced. One by one, he collected the orbs, each one fueling him further, propelling him through the infinite tunnel.

Time continued its elusive passage, but Daniel paid it no mind. He was on the right path now. His desire to reach the final orb consumed him. The last one shimmered ahead, more magnificent than all the others.

Just as he stretched out his hand to claim it, an earth-shattering BOOM! filled the void. Golden and purple light erupted around him in a swirling tornado of color, bright and beautiful. But the ecstasy was short-lived. Darkness swallowed him whole, and for what seemed like an eternity, there was nothing—no stars, no energy, no sensations. Just darkness.

After what felt like an endless time in the void, Daniel finally heard a voice—a voice that filled the silence.

[Congratulations to this period's REINCARNATEES! Without further ado, all reincarnates have 1 hour left before their reincarnation begins. Therefore, you are advised to prepare well.]

[When ready, candidates for reincarnation are to enter the formed teleportation array, and you will be sent to the Reincarnation Space.]

[Time Left Before Reincarnation: 59M-59S]

The voice faded, and light returned to Daniel's vision. He blinked, his head spinning slightly, but the dizziness soon passed. He found himself in a vast, blank space—empty and expansive. It felt like he had entered some strange, liminal dimension. Minutes passed as he adjusted to his surroundings, and then a voice—a silvery, melodic voice—echoed through the space.

[Welcome! Welcome! Welcome!]

The voice was warm and inviting, imbued with an odd sense of excitement. It felt almost like a game.

[Welcome to my humble abode, popularly known as the Reincarnation Space. My name is Wish, your favorite Wish Granting Fairy.]

A small orb of white light floated before him, dancing in the air as it spoke. It sparkled like stardust, introducing itself with enthusiasm.

[This place is where all reincarnates gather before they are reborn into another world. It is a space where all your confusions can be cleared. Any questions you have about your reincarnation can be answered here.]

The orb hovered closer, its tone shifting to a more mysterious, tantalizing pitch.

[The most important thing you need to know is this: you have been blessed by Universal Law with 5 WISHES. You can use these wishes to request any perks or cheats you desire for your next life.]

[Remember, anything can be granted. Whether it's a harem of 3,000 jade beauties, a heaven-defying physique, or a sword capable of shattering the sky with a single strike—these wishes can make your wildest dreams come true!]

The orb fluttered around him, displaying vivid images of Daniel surrounded by 3,000 beautiful women, his body glowing with heavenly lightning, and him swinging a sword that cleaved the sky in half. The visions were stunning, alluring, and powerful.

But Daniel remained composed, his expression unreadable. Inside, he was calculating, analyzing every word and every possibility. Who gets a chance like this and doesn't carefully consider it? he thought. I need to focus on what's practical, what will actually help me in the long run.

Despite the orb's enticing visions, Daniel felt skeptical. He suspected that this space, this opportunity, wasn't just about wish fulfillment. It was a test. A challenge. His intellect and judgment would determine whether he made the best use of these wishes.

[Now that everything has been explained, it is time for you to make your wishes. If you have any questions, you can ask them after you receive your 5 Wishing Scrolls. You have one hour to prepare before you are reincarnated.]

The orb floated closer to Daniel, guiding him toward a podium that had appeared before him. A single drop of blood was all that was required. Without hesitation, Daniel pricked his finger, and a drop of blood fell onto the podium.

Suddenly, five golden scrolls floated before him, each one blank, ready for his wishes. The orb's voice spoke again.

[You have successfully obtained your Wishing Scrolls. Your time starts now. Any questions about reincarnation can be asked, and you can seek advice if needed.]

[TIME: 59M;59S]

Daniel took a deep breath, steadying his thoughts.

"Is the reincarnation normally random, or...?"

[That's a good question!]

The orb's voice was playful, as if amused by his inquiry.

[No, reincarnation is not random. The world you are reborn into is determined based on your desires and the choices you make here. Your destiny is yours to shape.]

Daniel nodded thoughtfully. That confirmed one of his earlier suspicions. This wasn't a blind lottery; he had some measure of control over his fate.

With clarity, he asked his next question.

"What kind of world will I be reincarnated into? And can I see a list of all the major powers?"

The orb's light flickered and shifted, and a dark scroll appeared before Daniel. It unfurled, revealing a detailed list of powers and factions.

[The world you will be reincarnated into is called the Known World, also known as the world of the Game of Thrones. Here is a list of the major powers…]

As the orb explained, Daniel's eyes widened. Game of Thrones? A rush of excitement and realization flooded his mind. This was one of his favorite shows, though he had always felt the ending left much to be desired. Now, he had a chance to shape his destiny within that world.

The orb continued to list the major powers—houses, factions, and key figures that controlled the realm's fate. But Daniel had already made up his mind.

He quickly considered which family he should be born into. The Starks? A noble family, but their destiny seemed grim. The Targaryens? Tempting with dragons, but too dangerous. He realized that his best bet was the Lannisters.

[Time: 45M;50S]

Daniel's mind was made up. He knew exactly what he wanted. He would secure his place in the Lannister family as their fourth son—a position that would grant him both power and freedom.

"My first wish," he declared decisively, "is to be born as the fourth son of Tywin and Joanna Lannister."

The orb flitted around him, its voice ringing out with a clear, celebratory tone.

[Processing... Congratulations! Your wish has been successfully granted.]

Daniel felt a strange warmth pulse through him, confirming that his wish had been realized. But there was more to do. The most important question still lingered in his mind.

"How many other reincarnates are there?" he asked, his voice steady and curious.
