I offered my mother in law some snacks and a drink to relish in the moment. After she had eaten all of them, she rested for a while before leaving the house.
I ran up the stairs to have a change of clothes so that I would accompany her to get a taxi that would take her to her place of work.
We sighted a cab and flagged it down immediately. The cab came to a halt and she told the driver where she was going and where to stop her. The driver nodded affirmatively and asked her to take her seat.
I waved at her till the cab was out of sight. Such a lovely woman. I wished I had a mother like her, life would be much fairer.
Thank goodness she is my mother in law which means she is equally my mother. I stood outside for some time before finding my way inside the house.
I wished she could stay longer. I keep hearing that it's not actually nice if your mother and father in law live in the same house with you.
