(It was one particular fine day when Alora was trying on her old clothes but they don't seem to fit anymore..)
Lydia: My dear, I think that you've grown taller!! This is such a proud moment for me!
Alora: I think so too, Mom..But don't worry I'll manage to adjust in these clothes..
Lydia: Ain't no way that's happening! Let's go shopping!!
Alora: It's fine, mom..
Lydia: Get dressed now! We're gonna go shopping!
(Alora knew that refusing it will lead to nothing seeing how persistent her mom was so she got ready and went out with her mother...On the streets, many people recognised Lydia at a glance as the Grand priestess and started rumours..What is the Grand priestess doing with a child? Is that her child? Isn't she too old to have a child so young? Was she hiding this child? But Lydia, Alora noticed, was going on with her business as if those people weren't talking bad about her behide her back..Alora was thankful that she knew beforehand that people would recognise Lydia and a commotion would start so better to hide how you look to not be regarded as the, "demon kid" so she wore a mask and a scarf...)
Person.1: Does that kid have white hair?
Person.2: Come on, that can't be, why would the Grant priestess adopt the rumoured "demon kid"?
Person.1: But it seems so also why's she hiding her face?
Person.2: She might be sick or something..
(At that time, Alora pretended to cough..and Lydia became worried sick, she took Alora back home after buying some clothes..However, when they reached home, Lydia wanted to talk to Alora before dinner..Alora thought that she would ask if Alora was feeling alright now but didn't expect...)
Lydia: So, why did you do that?
Alora: Do what?
Lydia: Dear, I know that you were pretending to be sick..but why did you lie?
(Alora's heart skipped a beat..)
Alora: Sorry mom, I didn't mean to lie to you, I was just scared...
(Alora starts sobbing bitterly and even though Lydia wasn't at fault here, she felt guilty but she comforted Alora gently and placed her hand on Alora's head, patting her head while saying:-)
Lydia: You did nothing wrong but you ought to tell me if something's bothering you. If you keep it all to yourself, how can I resolve your issue?
Alora: But why would you resolve my issue? It's not like I am your kid...So why go through all that trouble for me?
Lydia: I may not be your actual mother but I am your guardian so you're my responsibility besides, you're not being a burden, I love taking care of you!!
Alora: R-Really?
Lydia: Of course..
Alora: For me, you're my real mother..
Lydia: I knew that what people said there actually bothered you..But since I've resigned, I am not the Grant priestess anymore so don't worry about spoiling my repuetation cause you aren't, you're a angel sent for me from god above.
Alora: But don't I look like a demon?
Lydia: People might care about that but I don't cause you're lovely and what really matters is what's inside your heart...
(That's how Alora became more open to Lydia and befor she knew it, that place already became her home...)
