Synopsis
Elite’s Gambit In a world where academic hierarchy determines your future, every move is a calculated risk. Kensuke Shizuka was never raised like other kids. Engineered by a scientist to be the perfect human, he sees emotions as distractions, friendships as liabilities, and life as a series of strategic games. But everything begins to change when he's thrown into The Academy, a cutthroat high school where students battle their way up the ranks—Class D to Class A—for prestige, opportunity, and survival. Shizuka's only goal: reach Class A. But his path collides with Mikhailov, a sharp-minded rival who refuses to play by Shizuka’s rules. When a simple test turns into a personal wager, their rivalry sparks a chain of psychological battles, secret manipulations, and betrayals that shake the school’s very foundations. But what happens when the boy who doesn’t believe in emotions starts to feel something? And how far will he go to win in a system built on lies? Welcome to a school where trust is a weakness, and every friendship might just be a pawn in a bigger game.

Chapter 1 - A Calculated Path

So this is what they call " high school", this should be interesting…

I'm Kensuke Shizuka, 15 years old, and I've been watching the world from behind a carefully constructed wall of logic. I've spent years observing how people behave, how they fail and succeed, how they deceive themselves into believing that emotion, intuition, or fate plays any part in success. It doesn't. They don't understand that.

I have always understood one thing: "In a universe full of possibilities, only the most measured moves guarantee success."

That's my take. It's not a quote. It's the premise upon which my whole life is constructed. When there are infinite ways forward, when each step has infinite potential, the only way to guarantee success is to make the proper move at the proper time. Each movement, each choice, has to be thought out.

People like to think that success is about luck, destiny, or connections. They make decisions based on their feelings, on their instincts, or worse, their desires. But I've learned better. Emotions cloud judgment. They make people irrational, unable to see the bigger picture. The ones who get ahead aren't necessarily the ones who deserve it. They're just the ones who can manipulate their way through the chaos.

But I don't require luck. I don't require anyone. I only require myself.

high school. A battlefield in disguise as an academy. I'm not here to make friends or build alliances. Those things are meaningless to me. They're just diversions. In a place such as this, only the most calculated will live. Only those who can penetrate through the noise, through the feelings and diversions, will survive.

The rest? They'll fall behind, not knowing the game is afoot. But not me. I've already played my hand. I've thought through every step. And I will rise above them all, right to the top.

Class A. That's where I should be. And I'll be there.

It's not personal. It's just the system.

"but… perhaps I'm wrong"
