Kael left the Enlace Chamber with the new disc in hand.
It was light, thinner than the ones before, and pulsed softly when near his chest.
A device that reacted not only to instability — but also to the presence of himself... in another time.
---
He returned to the cave where he had first found the message:
the inscription, the altar, the symbol.
As he activated the disc, something new occurred:
The space around him flickered — and for a brief moment, he saw himself, standing at the cave's entrance, wearing different clothing.
It was him.
Older.
Harder.
With gray eyes — like someone who had seen too much.
The echo stared at Kael and, just before time dissolved them again, whispered:
— You came too late… or perhaps too soon.
The image faded.
---
The disc pulsed once more.
On its interface, a new reading appeared:
Active anomaly — Location: Northern Walls, Year 3167 B.C.
Kael didn't hesitate.
He prepared.
He would go alone.
But now, he understood:
Encounters with versions of himself would become more frequent.
And not all would be friendly.
