[Kael and the girl hide inside the ruins of an old skyrail station. Cursed glyphs flicker on the walls. Kael stokes a small ashfire.]


[KAEL](watching her closely)"You're not just a passenger. That curse… it's alive."


[She sits across from him, knees pulled to her chest, the black orb resting beside her—silent now.]


[He tosses a shard of metal into the flame.]


[KAEL (calmly)]"Start talking. What's your name?"


[Kael's expression hardens. The name hits him.]


[KAEL]"Veyne… as in the Oracle bloodline?"


[A white temple, shattered by war. A child held in chains. Voices chanting around her as the orb is forced into her chest.]


[IRA]"They said I was the last one who could hold it. The curse… it's called Hollow Reign."


[IRA](whispers)"It talks. It sleeps. And when it dreams… people die."


[The orb twitches—runic threads ripple like veins.]


[IRA]"I can't control it. But I think it sees you."


[Kael stands, backs up slowly, eyes narrowed.]


[ASHBREAKER (inside him)]"It doesn't see. It remembers."


[Kael turns away, staring into the sky.]


[KAEL]"Hollow Reign was sealed before I was born. If it's awake now… someone unsealed it on purpose."


[IRA]"Then they're coming for me again."

[Kael and Ira walk beside the old rail tracks. The air buzzes—too quiet.]


[IRA (carefully)]"What… are you, really?"


[KAEL]"I'm what's left of a man who made a deal with something worse than death. Now I fix junk and wait for the world to forget me."


[IRA]"But they haven't. That Choir called you—"


[KAEL]"—Ashborne."[He stops.]"And now that you're with me… they won't stop until they have both of us."


[Suddenly, they hear a slow clap behind them.]


[UNKNOWN VOICE]"Ashborne and the Oracle's mistake. Together. Adorable."


[A man steps into view—he's grinning, covered in relic chains, and his eyes are pure void.]


[RELIC HUNTER]"Head price just tripled."


[Kael's hand tightens on his sword. Ira grabs the orb.]


[KAEL]"Let's see what Hollow Reign can really do."
