Chapter 9 - CHAPTER NINE

"Sir, what do you intend to do?" The woman Questioned Rander who was sitting at the end of the table as the other members gathered around. "Lunaris has shut off any transportation borders for our people to cross as it's clear they have decided we are no longer welcome. This power that we possess is what brings our people together, and anyone who tries to take it from us shall get no mercy." Rander spoke as Purple electricity swayed around his upper body, his eyes glowing a bright purple, his brows furrowed. "We are not ready for war, we will lose far too many people, sir," Elvina spoke her long raven hair ending at her waist, as she spoke her opinion. "Elvina is correct, we can't keep relying on the Fallen liberators sir, it's clear Ren is one of the most powerful assets we have, but his Emotional state seems to be Declining." Another Woman spoke, Short blue hair matching along with her eyes as she studied every person in the room. Elvina would listen carefully curious of the famous boy her age Ren Tanaka "The fallen liberators have Shown they are worthy of handling these types of situations-" Rander Defended the group's honour with utter respect as the doors swung open, Ren carrying Harutos Body in his arms while the others stood beside him injured. Rander's eyes widened as he sprung towards them as Ren layed Haruto on the ground. "Who's responsible for this?!" Rander demanded an explanation his electricity spiking through his body as Elvina stepped forward her eyes landing on Ren.

"Aragon Hunter sir... my elder brother.. the vermin that he is," Ren informed with guilt filling his tone. "Aragon Hunter is your brother?" Elvina questioned with distrust at the sudden statement. "He only became aware of the information a few hours ago, they are not blood related I can assure you they have no relationship with each other." Jun defended Rens honur as elvina listened with understanding as did the rest. The other fallen city members of the council, the most respected people in the Fallen city stood before Ren in that room Ren avoided everyone elses gazes as he locked eye contact with elvina suddenly averting his gaze. "It's Aragon Hunter and Zane...Evander Zane... we must find them, and punish them for their crimes." Ren announced his voice holding no mercy despite him speaking of family but due to their actions he can no longer see them as that. "The fallen liberators have everything under control eh?" One of the members commented with sarcasm, the man known as Elijah Evans. "The only move we can make is to join forces, we can't risk an attack on our city when they have already kidnapped one of our own and shut off transportation borders," Elijah spoke firmly as he slammed his hands down on the table. "I agree, my soldiers have already managed to smuggle Some of the Serum that enhances our abilities, But there's not enough for all of us," Elvina informed as she opened one of the crates, Jun grabbing one bottle. "

I will for the sake of Haruto despite me already having the power of one serum I don't know what the outcome would be if I were to have a second." Jun spoke with guilt thinking he was the one responsible for the death of Haruto. "Are you sure Jun. it's Dangerous," Akito warned Jun despite him already knowing the risk. The world was already heading into the direction of chaos and yet I hadn't achieved a thing. Jun showed compassion and bravery as he was the one to test out the serum as I stood idly by and didn't do a thing. My elder brother Aragon, who I thought I had killed in a house fire when I was seven years old, was now alive. It all makes sense why he hates our kind.

It bothered me to think that Aragon was the one who probably found Zane, and had fled to Lunaris, in hopes of Finding a home, somewhere safe and secure while I depended on myself. I searched every inch of the Fallen city, For my brothers in hopes they would be alive but nothing but rubble remained. Now I am faced with a war in my hands, and mt two brothers who area walking reminder of my past mistakes my own blood now the very ones behind the Attacks. But i wasnt the only one in the wrong. Their fight is with me not the innocent people of the fallen city and yet they dont care who dies and who gets caught in the crossfire. My mind raced with thoughts of the unbearable pain as I felt Elvina place her hand on my shoulder. "They say family is not bound by blood but the ones you choose." She spoke her voice comfortingly, as I felt her hand drift away as i felt my heart flutter at the sudden gesture. she walked away, her own group following her closely behind out of the room. "I will kill them.... those bastards they just had to ruin everything... no that's not it...They're all dead... they will all be ash.." Zane muttered insanity taking over, as he looked through experiment bottles, writing information on, Moonris Serum. "Sir, are you alright?" Amara had questioned Aragon as she walked through his office doors with a smile, that same so-ever-enhancing blue gown that caught his eye. "I'm quite alright dear.. now how about that diary you wanted to show me?" Aragon announced as Amara sat on Aragon's lap, Aragon guiding his hand through Amara's wavy dark hair. "It's the Legend of the Fallen magic. It's true ourselves the Rebellion have adapted to its cause, and ability with a goal to rid of it, it's said the truth shall be revealed with a key." Amara had spoken as she trailed her finger across the rusted papers of the Diary. "

How intriguing.." Aragon muttered, pushing the diary aside, before kissing the woman, his hands trailing along her body Amara deepening the Kiss. "I'm going to check on Zane," Amara announced before Leaving Aragon with the diary. "You know if you keep driving yourself insane it's never going to get better." Amara had spoken to Zane who was in a trance within his research, glass bottles shattered lied across on the ground. "Amara you don't understand.. The way i see things ... but this could be our future .. we can finally become stronger and use this power for good unlike the fallen people, with their twisted ideologies" Zane spoke of his ideals, a sinister look twinkling in his eye ambition taking control.

"And if it fails?"Amara added as her palm caressed Zane's face, his arms wrapping around her waist. "What about Aragon?" Zane let out a low whisper into Amara's ear a smirk playing along her lips. "What about him?" She replied as their lips met each other, and Zane pulled away soon after. "Don't worry i will make sure they will pay for their crimes." Zane replied as he went in to kiss the woman he loved again.

" That key Haruto gave you. do you know what it's for?" Akito questioned Jun as the four boys walked along the dark streets of the fallen city passing drunks, and people eyeing their every move considering their reputation, some looking with respect and others losing loyalty. "It's probably some old junk," Jun replied, chucking the key onto the ground as it clashed across the metal drain. "Yeah, you're probably right," Kenji added on, as Ren glanced back at the key, as they turned a corner a figure closed in on the key picking it up.

"How much do you think it's worth?" A man had spoken towards the other man he was accompanied by who had picked it up.

"The world will soon answer that question.. when it's destroyed." The man replied as he glanced back down into his hands, the metal key shimmering with the moonlight.
