Jameson's eyes narrowed as he read the file on Richard Langley. The businessman had a history of shady dealings and had been involved in several high-profile controversies. Jameson knew that he had to approach the questioning carefully.
A Visit to Langley's Office
Jameson arrived at Langley's office, a sleek glass tower in the heart of the city. He was greeted by Langley's assistant, who showed him to the executive's office.
Langley's Denial
Langley was sitting behind his desk, a confident smile on his face. "Detective Jameson, what can I do for you?" he asked.
Jameson's Questions
Jameson explained that he was investigating a missing person's case and asked Langley about the night in question. Langley's alibi checked out, but Jameson noticed that Langley seemed nervous.
A Suspicious Encounter
As Jameson pressed Langley for more information, Langley's demeanor changed. He became agitated, and his voice rose. "I don't know what you're insinuating, Detective, but I assure you, I had nothing to do with this person's disappearance."
A New Lead
Jameson thanked Langley for his time and left the office. As he walked out, he noticed a woman watching him from across the lobby. She approached him and whispered, "Be careful around Langley. He's not what he seems."
The Mysterious Informant
Jameson turned to ask her who she was, but she had already disappeared into the crowd. He was left with more questions than answers
