A ship was sailing alone in a violent storm that raged through the sky, where thunder rumbled occasionally.
The ship's main deck was messed up with pirate dead bodies, here and there. You can even see the intestines and liver that have been removed from the body. Roughly, you can estimate around 30-40 bodies. In the middle of all these, you can see an open wooden chest in the center of the ship's cabin, which is empty.
In one of the corners of the ship's hold, a young boy lay unconscious as if he were dreaming. But one thing is sure, he was not breathing.
Suddenly, thunder thundered. The boy who was dead, jolted up from his dream. The boy scanned the surroundings, then himself. His frail body with tattered clothes was riddled with bruises and wounds.
"Where am I?"
The boy tried to remember what had happened, but suddenly, memories started pouring into his brain.
Yes, the boy is a transmigrator.
After a couple of minutes, the boy opened his eyes. He remembered everything. His name is Maverik Carter, and he understood everything that had transpired here.
Maverik Carter was a native of one of the islands of the South Seas. His father was a fisherman who used to go to sea to fish. His mother died due to sickness when he was 7 years old.
Soon after, His father, on one of the sea adventures, died due to an attack by sea beasts.
When he was 11 years old, a pirate group attacked his island, slaughtering everyone. Since he was a young boy, the pirate captain captured him to do the chores on his ship.
Over the last 2 years, the boy was doing the chores on the ship, regularly getting beaten up by the drunken pirates, till now.
Recently, in one of the adventures, the Pirate captain got a wooden chest that had Devil Fruit. The surrounding pirate subordinates were thrilled.
"Boss, with this devil fruit, we can dominate the entire South Sea!" said one of the pirates.
"Hahahaha! With this, South Sea will be in our hands. We don't have to fear Marines anymore," said the Pirate captain with a laugh.
The devil fruits are treasures of the sea, where ordinary devil fruit is sold at 100 million berries.
Devil Fruits are categorized into 3 types. Namely, Logia, Paramecia, Zoan.
Logia represents the elements that can be controlled, are rarer to find in the sea.
Zoan is a type of Devil Fruit that allows the user to transform into an animal, both fully and as a hybrid. It is further noted down as Ordinary, Ancient, and Mythical devil fruits.
Mythical devil fruits are rarer than Logia devil fruits.
It was rumored that zoan devil fruits have their own will or consciousness.
Paramecia Devil Fruits are one of the three types of Devil Fruits in One Piece, characterized by their diverse and often "superhuman" abilities that aren't related to animal transformations or elemental control.
Without waiting, the Captain of the Pirates swallowed the devil fruit. It is fine if it is any ordinary devil fruit. But it was Zoan that was rumored to have its consciousness or will.
After swallowing the devil fruit, the transformation was half complete. Suddenly, the captain, with broken consciousness, started the massacre on the ship. All the pirates who were enjoying themselves with the captain started screaming. They tried to defend, but due to the half transformation, all the physical stats of the captain increased multiple times. The pirate subordinates are no match for him. Soon, more than 90% of the crew members died under their captain.
The young boy Maverick, after seeing this massacre, ran to hide in the ship. The heavily wounded remaining pirates, with their final will, pushed the captain along with them. Since sea and seastone are the weaknesses of the devil fruit users, the captain, who was pushed into the sea, lost his will and life along with others.
Seeing this, Maverik breathed a relief. But he sensed what to do now. He was in the middle of the sea, nowhere to go. His navigation skills are poor.
Suddenly, a ding sound was heard in his mind.

Seeing this screen, Maverik became so happy, he started crying.
Before his transmigration, he was an avid reader of system novels.
He knows, once you transmigrate, without any golden finger, he can only live a normal life in the best scenario. At worst, he will be a slave who doesn't have their freedom.

Since this is a one-piece world, Devil Fruits are common, yet I have none. But as a transmigrator, he was given a talent, photographic memory, and an equipment pocket dimension, but he is not sure where this equipment is.
I have 2 skills, Swimming and Cleaning, which I honed over the past 2 years on this ship.
Since he is transmigrated around the Sea Calendar 1252, no event has happened that transpired in One Piece.
Since he got the system and with know knowledge about the current era, he has to take each step with great caution.
First step towards the success is to escape from this damn ship which standing stagnt in middle of the sea. He found a small boat in the periphery of the ship, which was used to fetch the drunken pirates who had fallen into the sea.
So with knowledge on how to drive the boat, he started his voyage to find the island nearest to him.
From that day, his daily routine was paddling the boat, capturing fish to eat, and praying to god, so that no encounter with Sea kings or Sea beasts.
The One Piece world is significantly larger than Earth. Estimates suggest it could be between 10 and 20 times bigger, with some even suggesting it's hundreds of times larger.
During his voyage, he thoroughly understood how the pocket dimension works, even though he is not sure where the equipment is. He tried by placing dead fish in storage by thinking he was storing them in a pocket dimension. Automatically, dead fish were stored in the storage space. He also tried to retrieve them similarly. So he concluded that Storage space works on the thought process.
He tried similarly placing a living fish, but it didn't work.
Soon, 2 days passed. Maverick started to see a land. With more ecstasy, he started peddling the boat faster and faster. Soon, he reached the island.
The island was a primitive one with no human activities. He found many bones, skeletons, and skulls of various creatures on the seashore that he couldn't identify. He also saw some shipwrecks.
He knew that there must be something on this island, since no human activities are found.
So with caution, he went near one of the shipwrecks, which was the cabin, and found a wooden treasure chest. Seeing the wooden treasure chest, he became so happy, started laughing.
With no time delay, he opened the wooden chest, found a grey coloured fruit that had swirls on its peel.
Since he is on the island without any human activity, he didn't eat the Devil Fruit. He stored the devil fruit in Space Storage and started looking for any needful items in the surrounding shipwrecks. Soon, he found many gold coins and, along with several hundred thousand berries and stored them in space storage.
He was always thinking, why do pirates have to rob civilians for the mere sum of berries or gold? Since from past centuries, so many ships have sunk in the sea, you can get as much as you want if you find it under the sea with some precaution on Sea Kings. So with this, he started to plan what he had to do to secure the future.
First and foremost, he has to increase all his attributes. He had an idea, since he is a novel reader, he also read Solo Leveling, where the protagonist does daily quests to increase the stat points, where he allocates his free stat points to attributes.
So he is also going to do the same. The "Solo Leveling" daily workout, inspired by Sung Jin-woo's training regimen, involves 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and a 10km run.
