Chapter 1: "The Forgotten Prince"
"They called me a monster when I saved them.So now, as they mock me as a powerless prince... I smile.Let them laugh. I will rise again—when they least expect it."
– Kael Virelion, First Prince of the Virelion Kingdom
The Royal Palace of Virelia was bursting with magic. Nobles shimmered in enchanted robes, arcane glyphs danced above the hall, and servants bowed deeply before the King's second son—an infant cradled in the Queen's arms, his tiny hand glowing faintly with blue light.
At the far end of the feast… sat Kael. The first prince. Alone.
No magic. No aura. No recognition.
Just empty goblets, empty chairs, and eyes that never looked his way.
"First son of the kingdom… and not even a shadow of power," Kael thought.
His father's eyes passed over him like a stranger. His stepmother didn't even pretend to smile. Only one person dared to sit beside him—his mother, a quiet noblewoman with soft silver eyes, placing her hand gently on his.
"You are not broken," she whispered. "You are just waiting to wake up."
That night, Kael stood atop the highest tower, staring at the stars.
"Why was I even born?""Why am I still here?"
But just as he stepped forward... he heard a voice—not in his ear, but deep within his soul.
"You are Zareth, the God of Balance. You broke the laws… and saved the universe. Now… it's time to remember."
Suddenly, flashes of fire, gods, screams—battles beyond imagination—rushed through his mind.
Kael collapsed. His heart raced. His hands trembled.
"Zareth…?""Why… does that name feel like mine?"
The next morning, nothing seemed different… but something had changed.
In the academy, Kael sat in the back, silent as always. The professor asked a tactical battle question—so complex, even the nobles looked blank.
Kael raised his hand.
"Strike the mana source at delta formation. Invert the flow. The spell collapses."
The room fell silent.
Even the professor blinked.
"Correct…?"
A murmur spread. Whispers. For the first time… Kael was noticed.
And so, the forgotten prince took his first step toward becoming the god the world once feared—and would one day beg to return.
