The sacred grounds fell into a stunned silence. The glow of the Fated Moon surrounded Zyra and Liora in its magical light, sealing the undeniable truth between them—they were mates.
A shap snarl ripped from Zyra's throat, her silver eyes ablaze with anger and fury . "No," she growled, shaking her head as if she
Just willpower could undo what the Moon Goddess had just ordained "This is a mistake."
Liora's breath came was sharp, uneven gasps leaving her lips ,her body full of disbelief. Fated to the enemy? To the ruthless Lunarion Alpha who had sworn to destroy her pack one day? The very thought curdled in her stomach.
"This cannot be," Liora hissed, her blue eyes flashing with denial and defiance . The air between them was full of tension, neither of them willing to accept the bond which has threaded their souls together.
Zyra made a fist with her hand, her claws dug into her palms. The idea of being bound to a Moonveil wolf, was beyond infuriating. She had spent her entire life believing in strength, dominance, and power. The Moonveil pack was nothing but weakness in her eyes, lead by an Omega? What a joke.
"I am not accepting this," Zyra screamed , stepping back as if distance could break the bond
"Neither will i" liora screamed back
But despite their words, the bond is sealed between them, neither of them could escape. And as the Fated Moon shone above, it was clear: their fates were already sealed.
The murmurs started as whispers and it spread through wolves like wildfire. Then outbursts of disbelief, rage, and sheer outrage bursted.
"This is a mockery!" a Lunarion elder let out on top of his voice, he steps forward with his eyes bristling in fury. "Never will history repeat itself , take your cursed Omega with you"
A furious growl erupted from the Moonveil side. "Our Omega will never mate with a beast who has spilled our blood!" A Moonveil Elder spat at the ground, his face twisted in disgust.
The air was filled with tension, growls and bared fangs echord through the sacred grounds. Two rival packs, sworn enemies for centuries—now chained by the will of the Goddess.
"This must be a mistake," Zyra's Beta, Kael said with his teeth clenched and his golden eyes filled with fury. "She is moonveil Omega! You cannot"
"I will not," Zyra snarled back at kael. Her wolf growled beneath her skin, protesting the very words she spoke.
Liora stood stiffly amidst her pack, she felt the weight of a thousand eyes burning into her. Doubt. Suspicion. Anger. Even her own people were Shaken.
Sera, her Beta, took a wary step forward. "Liora…" Her voice was very careful, but the unspoken question dwelled between them:
"What does this mean for us?"
Liora's chest tightened. She just felt like screaming , deny the bond, tearing it apart with her bare hands. But the Moon Goddess' wishes and decree could not be undone.
A voice broke in the chaos, a deep and commanding presence which silenced the mumbling in an instant.
"The Fated Moon does not make mistakes," neither does the goddess ,the High Seer declared, her milky-white eyes glowing in the moonlight. "The bond has been written in the stars long before you drew breath, and to break it will be an act of deviance with heavy penalty on both packs" the high Seer stated and disappeared into the wind.
Zyra's hands curled into fists. Liora's heart pounded against her ribs.
Fated by the Moon. Bound by something neither of them wanted.
But fate did not care for their hatred. It had already been chosen.

Zyra led her pack through the dense forest, her expression was just unreadable. Kael, her Beta , walked beside her, his eyes filled with disbelief, he still can't Contain what had just happened.
"How is this even possible?" Kael finally spoke, his voice low but spiked with anger.
Zyra's silver eyes remained fixed ahead. "I don't know, but I will never accept this."
Kael scoffed. "Good. Because the pack won't either. This bond is a curse."
Zyra's fingers twitched, barely restraining the frustration clawing at her. "Then we'll break it."
Kael nodded firmly. "Whatever it takes."
Zyra's gaze flickered to the full moon above, its glow mocking her. Whatever game the Moon Goddess was playing, she would not be a pawn.

Liora's father, Aldric, was fuming as he paced back and forth the hall of the Moonveil Packhouse, his hands folded into fists. His expression was dark and unreadable, but the storm in his eyes gave off his anger.
"How could this be?" he muttered under his breath, voice sharp as a blade. "Years have passed since the last True Blood Omega was bound to a True Blood Alpha… and it ended in tragedy." His fists tightened. "Why would the Moon Goddess let this happen again? What is her plan?"
Sera, standing nearby, remained silent, her arms crossed as she watched him wrestle with the weight of it all.
Aldric turned abruptly, his voice dropping into something colder, more resolute. "I have to protect Liora. We will not be engulfed by this fate. The Moonveil Pack will not bow to this—to her."
With that, he stormed off, his mind already working through every possible way to defy the bond that had been forced upon his daughter.

Liora got to her chamber and collapsed onto her bed, landing with her face downward. She screamed into the bed in anger , then turned her face upwards and stared at the ceiling. Her mind was a mess, her thoughts tangled together in chaos.
Sera leaned against the doorframe, and observed the omega in distress with her arms folded, she exhaled sharply. "You know… I'm beginning to dislike this thing called fate more and more."
Liora let out a dry, humorless chuckle. "Tell me about it."
Sera scoffed. "The Moon Goddess really has a terrible sense of humor. This? This is worse than being mated to an Alpha in the pack. At least then, we could pretend it made sense." She narrowed her eyes. "But her? Zyra Valdris? The one who's sworn to destroy us?"
"You know , you said no one wouldn't want you, I guess we found someone who doesn't" Sera said and chuckled trying to make the Omega laugh but it didn't work.
Liora breathed in deeply , but it did nothing to calm the tension in her chest. "I don't want this bond ,Sera" she admitted, her voice was just a whisper.
Sera huffed, and shook her head . "Of course, you don't. No one in this pack wants this. And you saw Zyra—she hates it just as much."
Liora turned onto her side, gaze unfocused. "It doesn't matter. Fate doesn't care what we want."
"Then we fight it," Sera said firmly. "There has to be a way to sever this, to reject it before it's too late."
Liora turned her head, meeting Sera's gaze. "And if we can't?"
Silence stretched between them.

As the night deepened, an unsettling silence spread over the land. The winds whispered through the trees, carrying unsaid warnings.
High above the cliffs of Moonveil and Lunarion territories, a shadow loomed—watching, waiting.
Glowing crimson eyes burned through the darkness, filled with raw anger. The figure remained silent, its presence like an unearthly chill gripping the air.
A low growl rumbled ..
Then, just as quickly as the figure had appeared, it vanished—leaving only the lingering promise of something far more sinister and devious to come.
