Chapter 2124: The Shattered Sky Path

Silence.

Not the kind born of peace, but of aftermath. The kind that lingers when the world forgets how to move.

Yun Che stood, blood-soaked, panting, surrounded by devastation. Craters stretched like empty graves in every direction. The air shimmered, distorted—fractured. As if the space he fought in now refused to acknowledge what had happened here.

He looked up.

The Monster That Walks in Silence stood unmoving across the field.

It had been struck—truly struck. A fracture glowed along its upper torso where Yun Che's forbidden fusion technique had landed. From the crack, something leaked—not blood, but a white, colorless light that seemed to drain the world of meaning.

But it wasn't finished.

Its golden eye narrowed, and suddenly Yun Che understood:

This thing didn't fear pain. It didn't fear death.

It feared being remembered.

> "You carry echoes," the being intoned, voice heavier now. "You awaken things better left still."

Yun Che's left arm hung limp, shoulder shattered, profound energy sluggish. The cost of invoking the fused technique had nearly consumed him.

But his will had never been sharper.

> "I don't care what you are," Yun Che growled, flames beginning to swirl again around his feet. "I've faced worse than death. I've been worse than death."

He raised his working arm and called forth his strongest remaining force:

The Sky Poison Pearl.

A green light burst forth, seething and alive with virulent wrath. It coiled around his arm, eager—hungry. Yun Che hadn't used it in years… not like this.

> "Let's see if oblivion can rot."

For the first time, the monster reacted. Its form shifted, defensive. As if recognizing what the Sky Poison truly was—not just destruction, but corruption, the kind that cannot be undone.

Yun Che surged forward—faster than before. Not through force—but through fury.

But then—

The world pulsed.

Once.

A familiar pressure swept across the broken land. Cold. Intense. Sovereign.

Yun Che stopped mid-attack, eyes widening.

From the far north, across realms, across voids, a divine sense swept over him like a phantom whisper. A voice—clearer than anything he'd heard in years—brushed against his soul.

> "Yun Che."

His breath caught.

> "Jasmine…?"

The monster flinched.

Because even it remembered that name.

---

Far away, in the Star God Realm's ruins…

A girl stood alone atop the broken foundation of the Heavenly Slaughter Star God palace. Her eyes were red. Her aura, restrained—but on the brink of eruption.

> "You woke it up, you idiot," Jasmine whispered, her voice trembling not from fear, but from rage.

> "And now I'll have to kill it."

She turned her gaze to the west. The heavens cracked faintly above her.

> "Again."
