Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 — The Sword That Cuts Through Worlds

The moonlight spilled across the forest clearing like liquid silver, bathing the ruins in a ghostly glow. The shattered remnants of an old battlefield lay silent—stone pillars, overgrown vines, and faint magical residue humming beneath the earth.

Lucien stood at the center of it all.

In his hand, Yamato—cold, sleek, and humming with contained destruction.

He unsheathed it an inch.

The wind stilled.

He took a slow breath. Closed his eyes.

"This world," he murmured, "is too soft."

With a sudden motion, he unsheathed Yamato in a flash-draw. The slash wasn't aimed at an enemy—it was aimed at the air itself.

SHIIIIING—

Reality trembled.

A thin black line split the space before him, vertical and glowing with an eerie void-light. The very fabric of the dimension had been cut.

Lucien stepped forward, coat billowing from the wind that poured through the growing rift.

Beyond the cut in space—darkness. A sky with twin moons. A battlefield littered with crimson banners and broken blades etched with a forgotten crest.

The Crest of Vael.

His jaw tightened.

"So it still echoes..." he whispered, voice touched with both anger and reverence.

A figure appeared in the rift—just a silhouette.

Clad in black armor laced with silver runes, a massive blade over one shoulder. It didn't speak. Just watched him. Familiar. Regal. Haunting.

Lucien exhaled.

I'll remember everything. Piece by piece. If the world forgot House Vael...

He raised Yamato once more.

Then I'll carve it back into existence.

With another slash, the portal sealed itself like a wound healing, the night returning to stillness.

But the air still felt charged. Heavy. As if the world now recognized him as a threat.
