Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Awakening in a New World & System- II

This wasn't an ordinary system. Unlike those mysterious, secretive, and enigmatic ones in novels, this system had a clear purpose and a defined creator.

The force that had pulled his soul from the brink of death was called the "Will of the Void".

The Will of the Void had not only saved him but had also transformed his soul, making it far stronger than that of an ordinary human.

That was why his mind felt so sharp, his thoughts so clear.

The energy that had healed his body and strengthened his soul was Chaos Energy, a double-edged force—capable of creation and destruction alike.

"But why? Why had the Will of the Void chosen him?"

I'll have to find out once the system fully awakens.

More information flooded his mind.

The Void Library System was not an independent entity with a will of its own, it was an AI-based archive, created by the Will of the Void.

Its purpose? To help him unlock his potential, and gradually increase his ability to control Chaos Energy and harness knowledge beyond human limitations.

Even now, his transformed body was three times stronger than a normal human, and his mind ten times sharper.

This system will help him become stronger and more proficient in handling chaos energy.

The blue interface hovering before him pulsed with a faint glow, its symbols growing sharper and more defined.

---

> [98%... 99%... 100%]

[System Initialization Complete.]

---

A soft chime echoed in his mind as the interface fully activated.

---

> [Void Library System – Activated.]

[Welcome, Host – Vector Astrum.]

---

Streams of light flowed across the interface like digital veins, revealing rows of menus, categories, and glowing data clusters. A feeling washed over Vector—of connection, clarity, and the sense that something vast had just opened within him. This wasn't just a system.

It was a gateway to power, knowledge, and the legacy of something far beyond this world.

Then, as the interface settled before him in a structured formation of glowing panels, a calm, mechanical, yet distinctly sentient, voice echoed once more in Vector's mind.

---

> [Introduction of the system.]

[This system is created by the Will of the Void. My purpose is to assist the Host in unlocking their full potential.]

---

The voice was emotionless, yet carried a strange weight—like the whisper of an ancient force shaped into digital clarity.

---

> [Designation: Void Library System.]

[Primary Function: To provide knowledge, simulate training environments, support martial and technological advancement, and serve as a conduit between the Host and the Chaos Energy gifted by the Will of the Void.]

---

Vector's eyes narrowed slightly, absorbing every word with a growing fire in his gaze. He wasn't just reborn, he had been chosen and equipped.

"Assist me, huh?" he muttered under his breath, a slow smirk forming.

"Let's see how far we can go."

A series of blue, holographic screens materialized before him, displaying lines of information.

Vector scanned the interface, its blue vortex hovering steadily before him as his mind absorbed the vast possibilities it offered.

As his gaze settled on the status panel, he began analyzing the stats.

His gaze firstly landed on Strength..36… Three times that of a normal human adult. Not the average civilian, but someone physically fit, athlete-level. If he could once lift 150 to 180 kilograms, he could now lift over 500-600 kilograms with ease.

And this wasn't a linear increase. The body's strength didn't scale like numbers on a chart, the heavier the weight, the harder it became to lift, requiring exponentially more power. The implications were staggering.

He focused his eyes on Agility…35—Movement speed, He remembered watching Olympic sprinters, their explosive starts, the way they devoured the track in under 10 seconds. He could outrun them all. Vector could now do it in 4-5 seconds.

Why not 3-4 seconds? Reason being Air resistance. Unless he could somehow reduce or bypass it, even with such agility, physical laws still applied. But this stats is also simly inhuman.

He then checked the Dexterity… 34—His fingers danced through the air, tracing imaginary patterns faster than the eye could follow. Dexterity in this context meant the harmony between mind and body or generally coordination between mind and body, and most of all, reaction speed.

If a normal human reacted in 0.2 to 0.25 seconds, Vector could now react in 0.05 to 0.07 seconds.

A memory surfaced - that old myth about samurai cutting arrows in the air. He could do that now. Hell, he could probably cut a bullet… provided it was within range. Theoretically absurd, but with his stats, terrifyingly possible.

Lastly he checked the Vitality…105. Vector blinked, once.

Then again… A tenfold increase.

Vitality wasn't just health. It was endurance, stamina, pain resistance, immune resilience, and recovery rate—all rolled into one. He could now withstand a broken bone, continue fighting through it, and even walk it off.

Sleep? He could stay awake for three to four days without mental fatigue.

If a human took a week to heal a minor cut, he would be whole in three to four hours. A broken rib? Fully mended in a day.

It was inhuman.

The reason behind all these inhuman stats?... Chaos Energy.

The Void Body is unique—it isn't just a vessel for power; it is a foundation build to endure the influence of Chaos Energy. His strength, agility, and dexterity were enhanced, yes, but vitality is the true mark of that transformation.

Only this body could withstand the Chaos Energy coursing through him. If he'd had a weaker vessel, he would have been torn apart the moment the energy entered. That was why his vitality had increased so dramatically.

If he could increase his body's strength and endurance, expand its limits, then he could absorb more Chaos Energy… and his vitality would rise further.

Though it granted near-inhuman toughness, this vitality did not include regeneration. That was the one regret.

He couldn't regrow limbs or instantly recover from fatal wounds. He could heal fast—faster than any human—but not like those mystical monsters in stories.

---

(Author: Should I make you an undead? Think about the cool stats of being immortal and regenerating any limb!)

(Vector: No. This is already a cheat.)

---

After simply being shocked by these inhuman stats he finally focused on Library Database.

The Void Library System contained a vast archive of knowledge, spanning centuries of human history, from the early paleolithic era to information era, modern warfare, medical advancements, and even martial arts techniques.

This knowledge was based on his previous life, Earth, and also included information the body's former owner had come into contact with and learned.

But this was just the beginning.

The Void itself was infinite, containing knowledge from countless universes. And as his connection with the Will of the Void deepened, he would have access to even greater knowledge and secrets.

"It is not wrong to call myself 'Child of Void'."

For now, though, the Will of the Void had already granted him an extraordinary advantage, it had provided him with technological and medical knowledge that could strengthen humans beyond human limits. And not just that, technologies from beyond the Earth's level were now at his fingertips.

The world he had transmigrated into appeared to be at an 18th-century era of technology, but its people practiced Martial Arts and Body Refining, which could extend their lifespan.

A final notification appeared before him.

---

> [System Notification]

[A Gift from the Will of the Void is awaiting retrieval, Void Library Building.]

[Condition: Establish your own territory.]

---

Vector's eyes narrowed.

A library building embedded with mysterious power… but only accessible once he had a territory.

A slow grin spread across his face.

"A new world, a new life... and power beyond imagination."

"Let's see how far I can take this."

Vector looked out toward the horizon—the sun still rising, casting a soft, golden glow across the land.

"But first," he muttered, "I need to deal with the traitor."

Not much time had passed since the previous owner of this body had died, barely thirty minutes had passed.

"He must have gone to my house, searching for any other documents or items I retrieved from the Colonel's estate… and reports from the resistance"

Author's Note:

What is the System?

What is the System? The System is an artificial intelligence created by the Will of the Void. It is not sentient in the emotional sense but serves as a logical, hyper-advanced interface designed to assist the Host (Vector) in growth, survival, and evolution. Think of it as an omniversal library assistant bound to the Host's soul.

What is the Will of the Void?

The Will of the Void is not a god, nor a conscious being in the traditional sense. It is a self-born cosmic intelligence, emerging from the infinite emptiness after eons. Cold, impartial, and absolute, its role isn't conquest or morality—but balance. It acts to preserve the sanctity of the Void and protect void from external interference.
