Chapter 1 - The Monster That Walks in Silence

Chapter 2121: The Monster That Walks in Silence

The skies above the Ruined Origin Abyss were cloaked in a crimson veil that refused to part, no matter how the wind howled. The air itself was dense with an ancient heaviness—one not born of time, but of memory. Of loss.

Yun Che stood alone at the edge of the abyss.

His black robes stirred gently as a windless breeze passed through the world, carrying not sound—but stillness. Not silence—but suppression. A force that seemed to quiet even the beating of one's heart.

He had felt it.

Three days ago, while meditating atop the mountain where the remnants of the Evil God's soul still lingered, he had felt the ripple—a distortion not of power, but of existence itself.

And now, it was near.

The surrounding realm was devoid of life. No beast dared to dwell within ten thousand miles of this place. Even the spirit energy of heaven and earth curled inward in retreat.

Yun Che's expression was unreadable. Cold, distant, yet deeply aware. His divine sense was fully extended, yet it found nothing. No presence. No pulse. Only a space erased.

Suddenly…

It appeared.

No burst of energy. No grand descent.

Just… presence.

From the folds of space, a figure materialized—not summoned, not flying—manifested. Tall. Wrapped in pitch-black bands of living shadow, its form was roughly humanoid, but stretched too far in every proportion. The only detail visible was a single, golden eye burning in the center of its head.

A low vibration entered the world.

And Yun Che understood, without words, that this being was not created.

It was left behind.

A relic of something the universe itself had tried to forget.

"You carry the core of a god who defied the heavens," the creature spoke, not aloud, but directly into Yun Che's mind.

"You walk with the weight of sins layered upon sins. You hold within you the echo of extinction."

Yun Che didn't move. His golden eyes met the creature's gaze, unflinching.

"I have buried gods. I have erased devils. I carry sins—yes. And I'll add yours to them before this day ends."

The golden eye blinked once. Not in fear, not in surprise—but as if processing his defiance.

And then, the world broke.

A wave of pressure expanded outward from the being—soundless, formless, but devastating. The sky above shattered into a mosaic of black and red, and the land beneath Yun Che's feet cracked as if rejecting the presence of this thing.

Yun Che responded instantly. The Evil God's profound veins ignited.

Fire bloomed across his shoulders like wings of divine flame. Ice surged around him in jagged arcs. Lightning crackled from his fists as the elements, long subservient to his will, roared in defense.

He launched forward.

The space between them twisted, but Yun Che's fist passed through it with sheer force, tearing through time and dimension. His blow landed on the creature's chest—and instead of flesh or resistance, he felt emptiness.

It didn't block.

It absorbed.

Yun Che flipped back midair, eyes narrowing. He had fought gods, devils, emperors… but never something that fed on existence itself.

"You are not a creature of this world," he said. "You are not alive, yet you hunger."

The monster raised its arm.

The air bent, light distorted, and Yun Che felt something tugging at the edges of his soul—trying to unmake him.

But he had been unmade before. He had died. Betrayed. Broken. Cast into darkness. And still… he had returned.

And he would not fall here.

He pressed his hand to his chest—and felt the Evil God's Heart respond.

"Then learn," Yun Che growled, "what it means to face the inheritor of chaos!"

A light unlike any the world had seen erupted from his core, flooding the shattered realm with color. For a brief moment, time paused, and the being before him—the Monster That Walks in Silence—hesitated.

For the first time in eons, it felt threatened.
