The chocolate cake was displayed before Nate with creamy substance filling its brim, it was an enticing sight to behold as he wonder stared at the cake he has ordered specifically for Chloe as he rounds up his work for the week and plans his journey back home. In excitement of what Chloe's reaction would be when she sees her favorite cake, he couldn't help but keep smiling on transit, with thoughts of how she would jump on him with sincere appreciation, she was his ideal woman. He had sleepless night thinking of her and his proposal, making the proposal is not such a hard deal but how does he convince his mother of how betrothed he is to Chloe, he wishes that his mother would not look at Chloe's background and accept her for who she really is, she was of an average background and but Mary Armstrong was a woman after class and glamour, one that would match her classical aura and bring her victory in the face of her competitors. After the death of her husband she has been so keen to see to it that her only son, Nate Armstrong, gets what's rightfully his, his inheritance. She is aware of the opposition he is facing in the race of inheritance and for such cause she was ready to contend in all forms to get what is rightfully theirs, making it a reality.
But the aura of fear still enclosed around his heart, his mind divided in a world of amusement and a world of fear, he fights with this sudden feeling and does not want anything to ruin his plans with Chloe. After so many run through thoughts he gives Chloe a call to inform her of his arrival and her reaction was as expected.
"You liar!" She screams in excitement.
"Yes darling, I'll be back by noon, but something tells me you do not miss me even for a bit, sugar bunch" says Nate faking his accent to that of a child like Chloe would always do, then let's out a loud laugh.
"Well those assumptions are right, I do not miss you, Mister Nate Armstrong, why would I?" She teases him.
"Too bad you don't get to see your surprise gift then, a very big and yummy surprise" he said laughing so jovial.
"No wait…a big and yummy surprise?" She asked inquisitively.
"Yes but you don't miss me, so I will just give it back then and reschedule my meetings " he said giving a teasing cough.
" No honey, I miss you, please come back soon and come back with my big and yummy surprise, I also have a big and yummy surprise for you, don't lose out on it okay " Chloe says fondling her fingers.
"Alright princess, your wish is my command " Nate says as he ends the call with a kiss.
These two lover birds have something in common and that is their compatibility and internal love for each other, after years of growing friendship and bond, their lives have been intertwined with great and genuine love from both side. Chloe hears of his return and a happy Chloe could not help but organize a mini welcome party at her home for him, it was something she always did whenever he returns from a long trip. But this time her party comes with a surprise she has for Nate and Nate is also coming back to give her a surprise, a love story with burning desires.

The airplane touched down Virginia airport as at 12:00pm, welcoming passengers to a hot but lovely atmosphere, it was one sunny day as everyone had their shades on to avoid direct impact from the sun's amazing yet burning rays. Chloe in her floral short gown stays at the entry point anticipating the return of her one true love Nate. She had her black shades on to match with her purse and black shoes, worn purposely for Nate's arrival to show him how well what he buys fits her perfectly, this makes Nate sometimes refer to her as a dramatic barbie doll. Her eyes watched every spot at the airport as she became so eager to see him again, she made restless pace while waiting for Nate.
"Curly and dark hair, tall and handsome, broad shoulders like that of a lion or maybe a bear but quite broad, amazing blue eyes and impeccably built prince" Chloe praises Nate out loud as her eyes serenaded the airport like some security camera while she waves the little board with an inscription written "My one and only prince".
Nate finally arrives the entrance and spots Chloe looking agitated and expectant, he smiles with his deep dimples coming to the open, he sneaks pass her in fast pace and hugs her from behind causing her to startle.
"Mine" he says smiling with his hands /wrapped round her tiny waist.
"My prince" She replies turning round to face him as she ran her hand through his broad chest, her cheek had reddened with shyness, they became a sight of envy at the airport.
Holding hands yet speechless they stared at each other with deep affection and pined emotions showing on their blooming faces, Nate squeezed her hands to his as he let out sighs of relief continuously while he plays his other hand through her hair at some interval.
" I have missed you so much, handsome as ever my prince, where are we heading to now?" Asked Chloe, gluing herself to his body and refusing to let go.
"Let's go to your house first, I know you have some welcome party planned out already " said Nate giving her a smirk that sweeps her off her feet, making her blush.
"That's not true but true anyways, oh goodness don't spoil my plans now!" she says biting her lower lips, shying away.
"You are so pretty Chloe, you have the most beautiful eyes, and your smile, it draws me closer to you Chloe honey" he said with his hands holding her waist firmly in the car, their eyes met each others and set chills to their body as they locked lips and shared a passionate kiss, one that showed how much they had yearned for each other.
"Nate…" she said gasping and longing for more.
"Not yet darling " He says as he pecks her forehead, smiling in a most gorgeous manner.
They arrived Chloe's house, it was more of a little mansion,yet very beautiful in its own way.Chloe was from an average background but she had a comfortable life. Mary wanted something more than average to beat her competitors and her spirit does not flow with that of Chloe, even with evidential facts that Chloe was definitely a good match for her son, she just wouldn't want to lose taste in class. A banner was placed at the entrance of the house with the inscription "welcome back my love" written on it.
" Thanks honey, you are perfect for me"
"And you are the one for me" They both said sharing affectionate compliments.
Rosie lets out a teasing cough to make known the arrival of a van parked close to the gate, they were lost in each other and smiled at each other realizing how drifted they were from every other thing surrounding them, the car parks close to the house as two men comes out holding Chloe's surprise cake, while another man comes out playing a violin, Chloe moved by this begins to sob as she hugs Nate tightly as her tears soaks parts of his shirt.
"This is what love should be Chloe, what we share, this is Love" Nate says pecking her forehead as they hugged each other feeling their warmth while they bear thoughts of future possibilities in their heart.
"You should get going Nate, mother must be waiting" Chloe said bowing her head has she goes sober.
"Oh! Mother is not aware of my arrival, I did not inform her, but I will go if that is what you want my princess" he says smiling at her while they fondle each others hand.
"Not my wish, but of necessity, she is your mother, that is your home" says Chloe
"Oh Chloe, why doesn't mother see this side of you, why can't she accept you for who you are, she is always making a fuzz anytime I tell her about us" Nate said furiously detaching his hands from Chloe's.
Noticing how sober she had become, he goes back into holding hands with her and gives her a warm hug while he pats her back in consolation. He fought back his tears as he saw Chloe's tear go down her cheek, he wants to drive all negativity from her and show her they had a better future, but he knew within himself that he was upset about the issue as she was.
"You should come home soon, I'll make you soup" said Chloe fondling his cheek.
"Sure princess" he said as he gets into his car and drives away swiftly.
Mary Armstrong was a great opposer of their love story and with great influence, she finds every possible means of disrupting their relationship but Nate wasn't having it, as his strong will maintained their relationship for as long as time would have it.
