『Relationship established: Current Trust Level 2』
Seeing all of them hit Trust Level 2, Takuya gave a subtle nod of satisfaction. All the effort he put into disguising himself as bait to draw them in had paid off.
He realized leveling up trust was actually quite hard—it would take time and patience. If they were still at Level 1, the early rewards would've been way less efficient.
『You now have two disciples with potential rated S or higher. Skill unlocked: Teaching』
『Skill: Teaching – Your lessons are easier for others to understand and absorb』
A simple, straightforward passive skill, but a powerful one. It directly boosts his effectiveness when teaching.
Takuya tested it a bit—it could be toggled on and off. But since it had no downsides, of course he kept it on. Well, unless someone like Danzo suddenly noticed his talent and dragged him off to Root to teach there—in that case, he'd definitely turn it off.
The only thing that disappointed him was that the daily "teaching return" reward didn't scale with the number of students. Still just once a day.
He had been fantasizing about cooking for Shisui and getting a 50 chakra reward each time. If he cooked for all three students daily, that'd be a guaranteed 150 chakra minimum per day. Way faster than grinding lessons. But clearly, that idea was a bit too optimistic.
Still, even with the limit of one reward per day, having three students meant a better shot at triggering the jackpot.
After all, emotional triggers have a threshold—once you get used to a stimulus, it stops being effective. But rotating between students could slow that adaptation and give more chances to hit the emotional jackpot.
"And besides, the current pace isn't bad," Takuya thought, checking his panel.
『Name: Takuya Hayashi』
『Age: 18』
『Chakra: 4405』
『Skills: Fire Style: Great Dragon Fire Technique, Water Style: Water Formation Wall, Wind Style: Pressure Damage, Teaching...』
Compared to when he first arrived, he'd gained 105 chakra points. Ninety of those came from teaching and the daily disciple reward, while the remaining fifteen came from his own training and reverse disciple boosts.
And this was just five days' worth of effort.
Most of his rewards had been ninjutsu techniques. If he went all-in grinding chakra through lessons, he could earn a guaranteed 100 chakra per week—not even counting the disciple return bonuses.
Still, Takuya thought it was smarter at this stage to aim for more A-grade or AB split rewards. The system gave him ninjutsu that he immediately mastered—not just "learned," but truly battle-ready techniques.
Even if he drew something that didn't match his elemental affinities, the system would include the necessary nature transformation. And if he pulled a duplicate, it would just enhance his mastery. Very user-friendly.
If he had to learn those techniques manually, it would eat up a lot of time. And figuring out how to train each one? Another time sink.
But once he built up a solid enough arsenal, he planned to refocus on chakra gain—since chakra was the foundation of any ninja.
"Sensei, I'm done!" Obito shouted, handing over his paper with the enthusiasm of someone giving 120%.
"I'm done too!" Guy chimed in energetically.
"Two of you, huh…" Takuya was glad he was in the Naruto world, where Shadow Clone Jutsu was cheap and common.
"Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
He formed the seals and created a clone.
Since one of them was learning taijutsu and the other ninjutsu, he couldn't teach both at the same time—so he'd have his clone assist.
He decided to personally teach Obito first while the clone handled Guy. Then, after thirty minutes, they'd switch—he'd take over Guy's lesson while the clone helped Obito.
Takuya didn't see himself as a personal mentor to just one student—he wanted to share his warmth with all of them.
Just like when he taught Shisui, he broke down each technique with care, almost hand-holding them through the process.
『You taught your disciple the Fire Style: Great Dragon Fire Technique. Due to overwhelming gratitude, critical reward triggered: Water Style: Water Dragon Bullet (Proficient)』
Takuya paused. He remembered teaching this same jutsu to Shisui earlier—but he didn't get a reward that time.
He guessed it might be because he originally got his Great Dragon Fire from Shisui. Maybe the system didn't allow disciple-derived jutsu to trigger returns if taught back to the same disciple.
He made a mental note: "Jutsu obtained from a disciple can't be used to trigger return rewards when teaching them."
"Please don't be that Water Dragon Bullet," Takuya muttered, recalling Kakashi and Zabuza's ridiculous 44-hand-sign version from the anime.
Sure, it looked cool on screen, but in real life, doing that many hand seals in battle was just asking for trouble—unless someone was keeping the enemy distracted.
Thankfully, the system's "proficient" version only required six seals. With more practice, it could be trimmed down even further.
After teaching Obito for thirty minutes, Takuya rotated again—this time, giving Guy personal instruction while the clone helped Obito.
Once both lessons were done, he swung by to give Shisui some guidance as well, cycling between the three students.
Around noon, Takuya went down to the river, caught four fish, lit a fire, and grilled them up—one for each of them as lunch.
"This is amazing! Sensei, you should open a barbecue shop—you'd make a killing!" Obito praised while munching down.
Shisui and Guy both nodded vigorously.
"Careful not to swallow any bones," Takuya chuckled, shaking his head.
Was it really that delicious? Takuya figured it was probably just average. He wasn't some expert griller, and he rarely did it.
But the atmosphere made all the difference.
Shisui usually ate alone. Obito only had his grandmother. Guy ate with his father.
Eating together like this—out in the open, after a morning of training—made even simple grilled fish taste special. It was the novelty, the warmth, the shared moment.
After a one-hour break, Takuya resumed training with the trio.
"This technique's actually not that hard," Obito said proudly, successfully summoning a chunky little fire dragon. Much easier than his attempts at the Great Fireball.
Shisui happened to be practicing the same technique nearby and unleashed a fierce, snarling fire dragon full of sharp fangs and murderous intent.
Obito, upon seeing it, silently guided his chubby, harmless-looking fire dragon behind him for protection.
Guy, who'd just wiped off sweat from countless spinning kicks, witnessed this scene.
Maybe it was their shared hardship from the morning, but he stepped over and said encouragingly, "Don't worry. Small fire dragons are cute too. One day yours will be just as strong as Sensei's."
It was clearly meant as comfort—but for some reason, Obito felt deeply insulted. A strange frustration welled up inside him.
Fueled by this sudden surge of competitiveness, Obito dove right back into training with newfound energy.
Not to be outdone, Guy—who had been planning to rest a bit longer—jumped back in as well after a short break.
"These two actually make a good pair," Takuya couldn't help but laugh from the sidelines. There was definitely something interesting about this duo.
They trained until dinnertime. Then, Takuya sent each of them home and reminded them to return the next day.
Sunday came, and they trained for a full day again.
The disciple reward that day? A nice 50 chakra bonus.
And just like that… a new week began.
