"So that's why Father's ship landed here," Ziak murmured, observing the antennae. "The high concentration of radio waves must have triggered its safe landing protocol."
Using their combined speed and the twins' cloaking technology, they slipped past the outer perimeter. Kiaz, with his knowledge of their father's ship, moved swiftly and silently towards its last known location. He carefully entered the craft, his movements precise as he located the Zeutron particle emitter – a small, intricately designed device with a soft, pulsating glow.
Just as Kiaz retrieved the emitter, a sudden blare of alarms ripped through the air. "Thermal signature detected!" a voice boomed over the facility's loudspeakers. The security system had somehow spotted Ethan, his still-developing control over his neutrino energy perhaps giving off a detectable heat signature.
Ethan immediately signaled to Ziak and Kiaz, a silent urgency passing between them. "Get out! I'll catch up!"
As gunfire erupted around them, Ziak and Kiaz, with the precious Zeutron emitter secured, bolted from the area with superhuman speed. Ethan, dodging laser fire and scrambling through the chaos, used his newfound abilities to evade capture, the adrenaline fueling his movements. In the deafening roar of alarms and gunfire, they managed to escape the heavily guarded compound, disappearing back into the dense cover of the surrounding forest.
